The offense produced a fantastic net pass YPA of 9.0 y/a. Deep passes galore. Romo surprised me with his arm. The throw to #81 traveled 55 yards in the air. The throw to Dez traveled 45 yards in the air. I used to think that Romo wasn’t great throwing deep balls but I really have to reconsider that. I do feel like when Romo is asked to drop back and throw the traditional high arching bomb for the WR to run under he’s not that good. But he can throw a rope and hit a WR in stride 55 yards downfield. Pretty amazing actually.
The defense allowed an atrocious net pass YPA of 8.5 y/a. This isn’t about guts, or effort, or toughness, or want to. This is about ability. Look at the very first table. Dallas’ trend from 2007-2011.
Bonus this week (because sometimes it’s easier to see than read). Chart of the def net pass YPA belo
p.s. the Darko’s clinched a playoff spot with their 3rd string QB this week.
