I think a lot of people's so called opinions, are influenced by what they hear on their televisions. The announcers tend to quickly evaluate every play or situation during the course of the game. Some people take what they say as gospel and just agree with everything without forming their own opinions. Jason Garrett and Tony Romo are constantly having their heads called for on these forums. The posts are filled with what the announcers or media had to say about certain plays, players, or coaches. That does not mean that they are right though. Same thing with this particular post, this is just my opinion and doesn't mean it is right. But it is what I believe based on what I am seeing on this site.
Garrett has lost 9 games in his coaching career so far...lost the Philly game by 27 points...lost the other 8 by a combined 27 points. And we had the lead in the 4th quarter of all 8 of those games. He has only had 1 draft and 0 offseason programs to work with.Give the man a break, a couple more drafts and offseason OTA's and you will definitely see a different team.
As far as putting the blame on Tony for losses...that is just a joke. That just goes back to my whole point about the announcers and media. He is making the correct reads, just working with inexperienced players (Dez), and a handful of his interceptions are a timing thing. This is based on the explanations given after the games, not what the media had to say about them.
We led in the 4th quarter of every game that we have lost this year except for the Philly game! Who do you think put us in that position? It certainly wasn't the running game or special teams, or the defense. He's been playing with 1 familiar face on the OL and having to deal with both starting receivers and backfield being injured this year. And they are still in position to win the division. So quit blaming Garrett and Romo for things and start being thankful that we have them. Just wait, couple more years and great things will come.
