$25k per kilo???
I could get him a lot better- I mean, wow, what a dummy.
I will awaken my expectations for the Cowboys when Jerry Jones is in the ground.

haha
There are times when you get suckered in,
to drug’s alcohol, and sex with woman, mmm k,
But it’s when you do these thing’s too much,
that you’ve become an addict,
and must get back in tooouuuch
Glad we got him off the team before he tarnished our sterling reputation.
Oh wait…
I started out with nothing and still have most of it left
This could get really bad
Hurd appears to have been a major drug dealer, dealing to other players. I hope no Cowboys get caught up in this, but how likely is that?

going to be some really distracted players this weekend.
I sure hope the Boys don’t get stung by this
Together, we WILL make it happen!

Hopefully the ones he was dealing to are cut off the team.

I think he's just like that lol

He was just on this team last year, itll be silly to think he wasn't dealing to cowboy players.
Sigh, this is going to be bad.

My thoughts exactly
This is either gonna be bad, horrible, or heinous. I’m sure there’s a huge number of players that enjoy using marijuana recreationally for it’s effects, so there’s no telling who is going to be implicated in this.
Actually it will be really good if he did sell to Cowboys players
most of the players on this team need to be cut. And there are morality clauses in their contract. We could cut them lose without a cap hit.
Sean Lissemore = The next Bruce Smith
wow that's really kind of shocking for a guy who is always preaching the gospel
always thought he was such a stand-up guy… but apparently a huge hypocrite instead

LOL
HURD subsequently inquired if the UCA (undercover operative) and the CI (confidential informant involved in the case) could provide him with Mexican cellular telephones, as HURD believed that law enforcement did not have the capability of “listening” to Mexican telephones.
C’mon man….
I know, such a dumbass then again most drug dealers are.

The smart one's live far away from where they're selling
and pay pawns to make all the dumpoffs and collections.
At least that’s what I’d guess….
Well its only illegal if you get caught right?
Either way they all get caught eventually.

no, it is illegal whether you get caught or not. And, no, they don't all get caught in the end. Not even close

Wow...
And they have a list of NFL names that he supplied? Going to get real ugly.
I mean the guy’s car gets busted with 88g and he was trying to get that back (he was not in his car when it was found)
You have to know your being watched, right? What was he thinking?
Wondering now if that is why he chose Chicago, in order to build his drug empire across the country?
Go Cowboys.....Go White Sox.....
Does the NFL test for cocaine, weed, etc. or is it just PEDs?

Wasn't fred davis suspsended for weed?

I think they test them in the offseason and/or preseason
for various narcotics, but just for PEDs in regular season. Not positive, something I think I remember hearing at the beginning of the year, but I can’t find anything to back me up.
they test for weed once a year I think
unless you test positive, then you get put in “the program” and get tested more regularly.
not only that but players know when the yearly test is coming so even if they use during the offseason they have time to get cleaned out before the test, so anyone who fails it is really stupid or has a problem.
BTW, just for the record I believe weed is no worse than alcohol and players should not be penalized for using it at all. But, since the rules are what they are, players are stupid to get caught.

i would say alcohol is far worse for your body than weed is. but i also want to point out that i never liked sam hurd lol :)

Man, I kinda liked Hurd
We hosted an art gallery at my office for Marty B earlier this year and Hurd came along. He seemed like a really good guy, never would’ve guessed this.
And for the record, I believe weed is far better for both health and social reasons than alcohol and nobody should be penalized for using it at all. On the other hand, cocaine is a whole other story.
yeah cocaine is another story

didnt this guy have a child last year ???
Bad on hard.. I feel no remorse for this guy at all. Just the money he made as a special teams player is ridicolus to most.
I’m just glad this is a Chicago bears mess and not a Dallas cowboys mess.
Now ima just wait and see who this guy will rat on.

No it defn is Dallas mess ugh.
Yeah he made 2mill alone last year. I’d take 25% and be on my merry way.

Because he gave up a list of names he was selling to.
It’d be ignorant, since he was a Cowboy for 5 years up until this offseason, to think some of them aren’t Cowboys.

Boy o Boy
is this guy an idiot! Glad we let him walk when we did. However though, he apparently has turned over a contact list of names in the double digits of NFL players that he was supplying to. I surely hope that no Current Cowboys are on that list. If so, then we need those name to come out fast and get this thing over and behind us!
I liked Hurd too, to bad LOSER!!!!
"Courage is being scared to death, but saddleing up anways" - John Wayne
Surprising...
but not that surprising. There have been a few newly rich NFL players that decided to use their NFL salary bonanza as seed money to get established in an industry that is very profitable and not likely to decline anytime soon.
Better financial investment, drug sales or realty? Lately, it’s been drugs…as long as you don’t get caught.LOL
I have a bad feeling about the repercussions that are going to emanate from this if the story about him giving up a double digit list of names is true. This could definitely screw up some careers.
Rabid and luvin' it
I'm a little bit surprised by this, but not a lot
I thought he was one of the good ones, but you never know.. It’s a shame that these guys make all of this money and do stupid stuff like this… Sports should be an outlet to get away from the negativity of the streets, not to engage in it. I guess you can take some guys out of the streets, but can’t take the streets out of them…
by dcsince77 on Dec 15, 2011 4:39 PM CST via mobile reply actions
if there are big name cowboys on that list
there isn’t even a chance we go after Jenkins.
I shouldn’t speculate, but you’ve got to wonder – WIlliams, Barber and Hurd all get cut by the team in the same year, and all go to chicago. Could they all be in this mess? And if so, that would enrage this entire fanbase I think, considering the 10s of millions, multiple high draft picks, and poor production from those guys.
sorry to hear this news
He seemed like a likeable guy. Hopefully he doesn’t drag other good players along with him into this scandal. Seems like prohibition doesn’t work and only encourages criminality and a very large black market but he played that game got caught and lost big time.

sorry, couldn’t resist…
of course not. And that's what is so utterly pathetic about this.
