Can we cease the Schadenfreude now? I am a cowboys fan and about as die hard as they come as many of you out there may know, but all of this wallowing in the failure of the Eagles and Redskins and stuff is really starting to sicken the human being in me. Remember that I have said that Karma is real, and if we has a fan base keep this up then I know it will come back to bite us in the butt as it always does. Besides, we were pretty much in the exact same position last year. Enjoying the self-destruction of a team that went into the season as the division champs and with heightened expectations and basically a mirror image of what we Cowboys were a year ago (plus the extra hype from free agency). It really makes about as much sense as someone who had come from humble beginnings to look back and make fun of those living in a humble state. The only thing I don't want is for them to get a high draft pick to have a shot at one of the top 10, or "surefire", players in the draft, especially a QB for Washington. I think we all know exactly how the Eagles are feeling to an extent. The only difference is that they are still screaming for the firing of their head coach while we got our wish after 9 weeks. In closing, I for one cannot truly enjoy the suffering of others, especially when I know I was in a similar situation once. However, I do want to win, as everyone always done, so let's all just keep an eye on that, knowing that if we win our next three games, we clinch the division, no matter what the Giants do. Basically if we beat the Giants, we will automatically win any tie-breaker scenario with them should it come to that. In that scenario with the Giants, at worst we would tie in head to head, then tie in division record, and being that all five of their losses came against NFC opponents we would have the better conference record. Our focus should be the same as the team, week to week, and on winning. The cowboys I am sure could care less how bad Philly, or anyone else for that matter, is playing right now.
