Draft Thoughts

Although it seems to be out of place to think about the draft when we are still eligible for the playoffs, bowl games bring some draft prospects into focus.

Last night's Insight bowl had at least three, possibly four players that look like the RKG. Jamell Fleming, CB of OU mentioned by Wes Bunting earlier this fall as a top prospect. Good cover guy but also known for his tackling particularly against the run. Matched up with Iowa's top receiver he got an interception early that was almost a pick six and had McNutt completely frustrated by the second half.

Frank Alexander, DE from OU is their sack leader and can play coverage when necessary -- good possibility for OLB or DE.

Mike Daniels DT, Iowa. Reminds me of Rat, short, strong, great quickness and pursuit speed. Had several tackles, two sacks playing over center and disrupted Landry Jones most of the First Half.

Of course there is also Ryan Broyles WR , currently injured, but a great possession receiver who can get YAC. might drop several spots with the injury.

There seems to be an abundance of quality receivers this year. Will we draft one that falls to us or will focus on defense this year?
