Cowboys vs. Giants: Injury Update, DeMarcus Ware Returns To Practice
I didn't think there was much doubt that DeMarcus Ware was going to play in the huge NFC East battle with the New York Giants. His return to practice on Thursday pretty much confirms it. I don't even want to think of playing a game without the top pass rusher in the league. The other good news from today is that Laurent Robinson also practiced. Combine that with the continued participation of Miles Austin, and it looks like the Cowboys will finally have their full arsenal available at receiver.
Tony Fiammetta practiced again, and no one could be happier about that than DeMarco Murray. Abe Elam missed practice to attend his father's funeral (condolences to the Elam family) but will be back to play in the game. A few guys we could use missed practice, Josh Price-Brent and Danny McCray. McCray is a special teams demon and subs a lot in the nickel/dime packages. His absence would be felt. Also, Martellus Bennett, Phillip Tanner and Jon Kitna missed practice.
An update on the Giants injuries can be found here.

You probably didn't mean it to be funny,
But I laughed when you said:

implication being that Bennet is useless and will not be missed.

Only if we like running the football
Or otherwise enjoying the benefits of an excellent blocker. Our line is elite though, so we won’t miss him. We need another receiving threat way more than blocking anyway. Bring on Justin Blackmon.

my guess with robinson sore shoulder ....
he will prob run outs and hooks to protect it, doubt dallas will have him catching balls in the center of the field . but it will certainly be interesting to see how our pas and run game fares with all on board.
now if we could get MartyB in here we would all be here, uh ..no… wait…..
never mind, everyone’s who’s any1 is here loil .
woman !, don't try to understand em, don't try to make them understand you, for they are a breed apart ! lol
(redskins)= A Tale of 2 owners, bought by Snyder, OWNED by the COWBOYS
Id say RIP Al Davis, but i know your up there drunker than a monkey and clocking angels in the 40 yd dash.
He has a separated shoulder
It might prevent him from raising his arm up all the way, but they are adding extra padding so that if he falls on it, it can take the force of the fall instead of his A/C joint

wow, the giants are roughed up right now
Starters David Bass, Kenny Phillips, Michael Boley, OSI, & Herzlich are all out.
We're here to win football games. The way to do that is to tell him and to get on him at the right times. I do that when you guys (media) don't see and watch.''

"You win,'' Romo said. "You're a very good leader once you win.
"That's' what we're going to do.''
spoke too soon on Boley
He’s not practicing right now but it sounds like he might play.

We are much healthier than the GMen
That has to be a big advantage going into the game.

It's hard to get a read on this game
Dallas has been struggling to get some offense. The Giants D is 26th in the league in pass defense. Our offensive line is offensive to watch. Looks like teams have been taking the Patriots blueprint on D. Run blitz us to death. Hopefully Austin makes them pay.
I sure hope we dont stray away from the running game
cant wait to see this offense now at full strength now with their #1 reciever and a great fullback coming back
"This team is going to win a Super Bowl at some point. It's going to be exciting when that time comes. And when we look back, we'll know who was on what side of the fence during those tough moments." - Tony Romo
Running Game.
The reason teams get away from the running game is because it gets stopped, or it simply don’t work. Most teams use the 3-4 defense (not the giants), it is intended to stop the pass first then the running game. The new linebackers are almost as quick or quicker than the running backs now. The running game is becoming obsolete. Running backs are mostly used for blocking purposes or short passes. The NFL has picked up a page from the NBA and are now going to “flashier, showboating” type of offense. It’s the wave of the future. Offenses are more and more using the “empty backfield” ….check it out.
Don't tell Denver that.

They got a damn good FB, too bad he plays QB.
IF you're gonna act like a turd, go lay in the yard...........Lock n Load
Himler where do you get your info from
Contrary to what one might think seen how should be easier to run on 3 lineman than 4 but your wrong man. See the concept was to take away the big huge lineman and out a fast agile linebacker that would be less lickley to be Juked or out ran by the running back. 3-4 defenses where ment to stop run right hence all the best run defenses are normally 3-4. Your 4-3 only dedicate your two DL to stop the run with normally your mike to assist. That leaves you with your two dt rushing the passer. Have fun trying to buffalo around here man.

Could be wrong
But I think only 14 teams use the 3-4 maybe 15 with Houston making the move.

I think people kinda forgot about austin
With Robinson doing so well I think people actually forget that our main threat in the pass game was out. Dallas is a diffrent team with Austin playing no doubt about it. Now we have nothing but proven talent in our passing game it could be dangerous.

If Romo gets time.
Don’t matter how good the recievers are, if Tony Romo does’nt get the time to release the ball. Tony Romo should scramble like he did in his first season. That will slow down the rush.
A screen pass from time to time helps out.
Maybe Jason Garrett may implement that.
You know, the ol’ bubble screen that someone commented “Made Ogeltree famous”, which made me laugh.
Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts.
"Meanwhile, like a bitter wine, Philadelphia’s jealousy fermented in the dark cellars of pride and resentment. With no playoff hopes of their own, Eagles fans turned towards hating the Cowboys." Steve Sabol, NFL films
Well intresting
Week 1 I would have said yelp I bet we see alot of screens . Although I think that Jason lost that page in his play book maybe Rob stole that page for when he becomes a head coach.

Assuming the hammy is healed and holds out
for the whole game. I’ve got my concerns, and JG may try to limit the go routes for him.
True he might
But Im leaning toward them holding him out of the zona game just to make sure its healed. Which we could have used him there and to me it seemed as thought they planned more on the giants game than the zona game. The way we played and to me it just seemed like a lack of effort a true definition of a trap game. Besides with Austin back on the field I think it will be easier for Romo to find open receivers in less time. Austin adds the little something wechave been missing.

Full route tree no exceptions
If we don’t win this game it won’t matter how healthy Miles and Robinson are in January.
Win this game or go out on your shield.

Gotta Bad Bad Feel'n
That we won’t get to Eli and he will slice and dice the secondary for 30+ points. Manningham, Hicks, Cruz should all have considerable days against this secondary. I’m hopeful Bradshaw doesn’t go off as well out of the backfield.
Actually took the G-men this week but will be hoping I’m wrong. Can anyone on this team cover a back?
