As initially reported by our own KD Drummond on Friday, it is now confirmed that Brian Baker from UNC has accepted the position as Defensive Line Coach with the Dallas Cowboys which was offered to him last week. Darin Gantt from the Charlotte Observer writes that Baker "was offered the job last week, but he asked for time to help UNC complete its recruiting class. Baker said he's never worked with Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Ryan or coached in a 3-4, but he does have a broad base of experience." Gerry Fraley from the DMN adds:"The addition of Baker could make for an animated sideline. Like Ryan, Baker is considered to be an emotional and active coach." Nick Eatman brings up an additional name: Ben Bloom, defensive assistant last year in Cleveland, is expected to be announced for a position on the defensive side of the ball, either as a position assistant or quality control.
