I felt like doing a post on the CBA but it would likely get me banned, so here`s what else? another post on Mock Drafts.

The Stand Pat:

Rob Ryan would love having JJ Watt on this defense and usually DE`s in the 3-4 might not be considered impact players but JJ would be. Watkins would step in on Day 1 and upgrade the RT position but his best position may be G, so it's an audition for RT with the talented Barksdale waiting in the wings. Dowling is great value at this point and the secondary needs help. Green is a tough runner that will replace Barber, Gurley is a big body at WR and will contribute on special teams and Lee Smith is a great run blocking TE.

The Trade up:

We deal with the 49ers, we move up 2 spots and get the 49ers' 2nd rd pick in 2012 but it costs us our 2012 1rst rd'er. They do this because next yr they will make a push for Andrew Luck. We do this because at 7 we get the best player in the draft. Why he falls to 7? When was the last time a CB went top 4? At his weight, how long will he stay at corner? 6 teams ahead of the 49ers have greater needs than CB/S.

Peterson is a great fit for us. Again, we're adding the best player in the draft to our secondary that was horrendous last yr. Still add Watkins for RT and for insurance Barksdale in rd 4. RD 3 we inject some talent for the D-Line. Last 3 picks same reasoning applies as the stand pat.

The Trade down:

We deal with the Dolphins who move up to draft Cam Newton. Since they can`t afford to fork any 2011 picks our way it costs them their 2012 1rst rd`er though we would in return offer them a 2012 conditional pick depending on how high the 1rst rd pick from them is.

At 15 the Boys address the RT position, this pick eliminates the need to draft Barksdale later on and not wanting to go O-Line back to back they address the safety position in rd 2 and nab probably the best safety in the draft in Moore. Since the O-Line is still a mess we add mauler Moffit in rd 4 and the rest of the draft remains the same.
