Cowboys-Specific Big Board, the Almost Final Version

A couple of weeks ago I made a first try at a Cowboy-specific Big Board, trying to match how they approach the draft. That is, making a list of only the players they are interested in (and could realistically get), and ranking them by round. i've been tinkering since then, so here is my (nearly) final version. As I said last time, I'm not a talent evaluator, but I've been sifting through a variety of sources and information... a sort-of poor man's Rick Gosselin approach. Hopefully it gives a sense of who the Cowboys may be targeting, filtered through some of my wishes and admitted biases.

In the first round, I haven't listed players that Boys likely won't have a chance to take (Miller, Dareus), and I've removed Nick Fairley entirely for character issues. I also removed Jimmy Smith for the same reason. I've got a few players rated either higher or lower (Aaron Williams, Martez Wilson, James Carpenter) than the Cowboys probably do.

There were several players that I didn't know quite what to do with, like Adrian Clayborn, Corey Liuget, Justin Houston. If I didn't see them fitting in the Cowboys 3-4 D, or I hadn't heard any interest from the Cowboys, I left some off the list, or slid them further down the board than most evaluators have them listed. Arbitrary on my part, but what the heck.

I added Andy Dalton as a second round possibility this weekend, not because I want to see it, but because of persistent reports that Garrett loves him and would go for him in the second. Really, really hope that doesn't happen. Other than that, no QB, WR, TE, RB. This is only intended to get to the 4th or 5th round, and I expect the Cowboys to concentrate on their need areas for the first 3-4 rounds.

Also, from my rankings, the second round looks really stocked with talent. I'd love to see Dallas end up with a couple of choices in round 2.
