Plea to Cowboys Leaders

Make this short and sweet, no jump needed.  Dez Bryant is having some trouble staying out of the news. Witten, Romo, Ware or Ratliff, any of you please take this kid in and give him some structure.  He had a rough upbringing and uses it as an excuse for his behavior.  Teach him the ways of owning up to your responsibilities as a role model to the younger generation coming after you.  Michael Irvin was a problem child as well and I am sure Dez will always bring it on the field like the play maker.  But with today's social media you can't be the play maker off the field or you cause the team more harm then good even if your playing well.

So I call on the leaders of the team to step up and get this kid to own up and become the class act a player with his talent should be.  Just use a young Marvin Harrison as a sample.  He may have done some shit but you never heard about it and up until a short while ago he kept it that way, even with the blitzing social media. This is what every team needs, leaders calling for the accountability to be a model franchise, not the management.

What has dez done really? Foreal?

The stuff that is going on is really his own biz.. & the mall biz was not on him even the mall admitted that..

Now when Dez start doing stuff that Aqib Talib has done.. thats a real call for help

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=6270645

this is not this guy first time in real trouble.. not media drama but jail house legal problems..

Cowboys fans stuff can get worst..im just glad its not

The problem is ....

little stuff almost always leads to big stuff. What Talib did wasnt a real call for help it was a jump off the ledge. I guarantee “little things” have been happening in TB that people have said no big deal and now look at their problem. What Dez has been doing is a call for help and if someone doesnt step up and give it to him (ie a swift kick in the behind) this will eventually lead to real problems and when those problems start happening people are going to wonder what they could have done to prevent it.

this guy has no criminal record none..

people forget that..
B.McCann has lost that over sum real BS..

what has this guy done that was nothing more than childish? A security guard made an issue with Dez friends wearing there pants below there waist.. which so many young guys do regardless .. but DEZ got the attn and was properly dress!!!!

The money legal issue is his own problem to solve.. Its his money his biz.. it does not include us as fans..If the guy dont want to pay he dont want to pay them.. now the next step is to go to court and have it heard in front of a judge or a settlement.

Can every1 here can honesty say they paid all there bills? Yea its wrong to do but thats on him to realize ,but its nothing … Like i say at least he’s not in jail or have any violent incidents..

With Aqib Talib last year i believe he beat a taxi cab driver then a gun incident.. thats bad real bad guy. Ill rather deal with Dez issues

You dont get it

everyone who has had serious issues has started out with minor issues. Nobody starts out pistol whipping and shooting people. Yes so far they are nothing but childish issues with Dez but these issues WILL grow if this guy doesnt start making changes in his life. Also you are right compared to Talib this is nothing but guess what (and I think I speak for a lot of cowboy fans) I dont care about Talib and the Bucs I care about Dez and the Boys. Let’s not forget the Mall and the money owed to the jewler are not the first issues to come up with Dez, he is on a path of self destruction.

Also if you think the mall just made a mistake in this case and nobody leaned on them to retract what really went down then you are delusional.

by jfdebois on Apr 3, 2011 2:32 PM CDT up reply actions

i didnt say the mall made a mistake..

the story was blown up…

As far as not worrying about other players other players i understand that, but to see what these other guys r doing compare to Dez needs to be mention. No one will be perfect this just may be the guy Dallas drafted.. A lot of other guys gotta answer to the commissioner but Dez do not.. all he gota do is pay his bills..

Also sagging ur jeans and bucking on Jewelry bills does not put hate in u to hurt some 1 or go out to commit a crime.. It just make u irresponsible.

Dez is clean man he is just irresponsible.

by lostar2009 on Apr 3, 2011 3:29 PM CDT up reply actions

the only thing i can think about that is on dez neck is...

he taking money in college.. also him and female got into it at the mall.. plus add in the bad debt stuff and a sagging jean mall incident…

a low profile yes!!, a better money advisor yes!!!!. but an intervention no!!!

by lostar2009 on Apr 3, 2011 3:38 PM CDT up reply actions

Your in denial man

and yes you did say the mall made a mistake check out your first post. It’s people like you who turn a blind eye to all the little things and then when something big happens you sit back and go “well i didnt see that coming”. Bottom line is Dez is good at 2 things playing football and finding trouble if he doesnt find a way to eliminate the latter he will put the former in jeopardy.

FYI …. without an intervention of some sort he wont keep a lower profile or get a better money advisor.

i said incident guy...

and ppl like u blow any and everything outa control…

by lostar2009 on Apr 4, 2011 9:18 PM CDT up reply actions

2 things Dez is good at...

“finding trouble and playing football”

Listen to yourself. I clearly see u have no respect for Dez Dryant as a person and probably already have the guy label as a thug or something…

I saw something in Dez.. the guy loves being a cowboy he embrace his roles and giv a 150% effort.. The giants game will always live with me for what Dez put out there… for some one who put so much out there for his fans for his team that is what u say.. he’s only good for 2 things.. what ever know the guy b4 u say such things about a person..
I

I see it Dez he’s a good kid

If you wanna talk .. talk about vrabel getting arrested for felony theft today.. but i bet u saw that and u already think its a misunderstanding with the police right? whatever guy!!

Yeah

That point has been kind of lost in this discussion

na he just shot at him

and then months later the same guy happened to get shot and die

by Archie Barberio on Apr 3, 2011 8:00 PM CDT up reply actions

well

first off the Cowboys cant even be in contact with Dez because of this stupid lockout
then I just heard it wasnt even Dez who was sagging his pants or whatever
good kid with questionable surroundings

by Archie Barberio on Apr 3, 2011 8:00 PM CDT reply actions

Isn't that why...

the OP was calling out to the Cowboys leaders, “Witten, Romo, Ware or Ratliff, any of you”, instead of the organization?

Rabid and luvin' it

Dez is my dude

your going to hear BS like this, we knew when we drafted him he had some issues
I dont think its major stuff, its more about just growing up and being around the right people
I have the same problem, I am loyal to my roots, I think Dez is a victim of that and he needs to just fall back chill and cut out some of his ways
I think he has the skills to be the best WR in the NFL and I will gladly take a blown up story involving the mall or some other BS while Dez is one of the best WR’s in the NFL
same goes for Santonio Holmes
now he is waaaay worse than Dez, he is actually violent and stuff, but my point is the guy wins a Super Bowl while he is smoking weed and throwing bottles at chicks in the club
you have to take the good with the bad
if I knew Dez was going to have minor BS like this and produce, im fine with it
that my be wrong, but its how I feel

by Archie Barberio on Apr 3, 2011 8:04 PM CDT reply actions

what I love about Dez

is that he is mad humble, very respectful young man
alot of dudes arent like that
Dez isnt a me me me me guy, he actually cares about his teammates and team
he’s a hard worker too
he might have trouble with the playbook, they might have to dumb it down a little bit
if theey can teach this kid routes, watchout because he would be even more dangerous considering he prolly knew about half the routes and was still beasting teams

by Archie Barberio on Apr 3, 2011 8:06 PM CDT reply actions

The long and short of it is...

He’s likely simply a talented, irresponsible person. Immature in some ways, possibly admirable in others. A not-yet-fully-developed person and the pendulum may yet swing either way. Such is youth. Shame these young men have all those things wealth and celebrity bring, even " the sense of entitlement", to complicate the growing up they need yet to do. It’s problematic enough without such things.

He just needs to look in the mirror.

And yeah, the word’s "pelf".

dez will be ok....

at the end of the day….he hasnt been arrested for anything criminal nor has he did anything that would warrant a suspenison from goddell…does he have some growin up to do sure, but thats not gunna happen overnite

Point on Marvin

Was the fact that up until recently he satyed out of the news. Obviously he wasn’t the quiet do it on the field guy after all, as we saw in recent news. Sorry if it didn’t come across that way in the post, may have missed a few words as it was a late night post and was just getting it out there, more then trying to be 100% perfect. I know Marvin isn’t a good example now, but from his rookie year up until recently what did you honestly hear about the guy besides he isn’t a diva like the rest of the recievers. The recent news probably shows he did more then most thought but he was smart enough to not be caught doing it. That was more point more then anything. Thanks for the responses tho
