This fanpost is the product of a long sleepless night (up playing LA Noire, for those of you gamers out there), so maybe I'm going out on a major limb here... I don't think there's been much discussion on BTB that I've read about McCann and his role on this team in the future. We all know that when he remembers to hold onto the ball, he's a great special-teamer. What nobody mentions are his coverage skills. Yeah, they were sloppy at times last year. But, as a rookie, he showed some good raw-talent and some flashes in the pan at one of the harder defensive positions to learn in the NFL. To me, it seems like his ceiling could be pretty high, but at the same time, it's definitely possible he pans out to be an average third or fourth stringer as well. I'm just curious to see what the BTB community thought about it, too.
