Question to the panel
If you could what would you do over? and Why?….J/C…..
Here’s a theoretical play from last year: Snap. Tony takes 7 step drop. Tony looks left at Miles, who is doubled, and looks right to where Roy Williams should be…but instead sees Colombo on his back and a Defensive End foaming at the mouth jumping over Marc’s carcass. Tony proceeds to run like hell and look for Witten

For me, it was picing Witten too early.
I thought hard about taking Harvey Martin then, but thought either he or Haley wold be available the next time around, and I was wrong. As a result, I was the one guy without an elite weakside end, and my D-line played catchup the rest of the draft.
yeah...
though OCC’s LB core is insane!!!

While I think I have the most dominating OLine, specially for what my offense is gonna try to do, Rabble’s is really solid too, just with some less known names. I was upset to miss out on Mr. Dependable Tom Rafferty (was gonna have him center my line) and i would have loved to get Herb Scott, very solid guard. Also, for KD’s SeanPayton offense, he has some great passblcoking OTs to go beside his bruiser OGs when Emmitt runs his beloved lead draw with Richie leading the way.

I wonder
if those guys that simulate thousands of games could put these lineups thru a series of games and see what the results are, should be interesting to see.
Jesus those lists make me proud to be a Cowboys fan.
At first glimpse, I’d go with Keg. Great trench play, sufficient skill position, and good safeties to cover LB and CB deficiencies(?).
I can’t wait to hear each writer’s logic and stump-talk.
Give me UR calls! Give me highstepping by CBs and PRs entering the endzone! Give me screaming on the sidelines and headbutting! Give me Fortitude, Solidarity and VIOLENCE! Bring me CHAMPIONSHIPS!

OCC's ain't to Shabby
While his DL isn’t anything to sing to Mama about, his LB core and Secondary more than make up for it….
And his Offense is pretty Solid…Great QB, two very good RBs, and two above avg TE’s…..

I like OOC's to win
He gets Garrett, Ware, Staubach, AND Sanders?
That’s just not fair. lol. That, and Cliff Harris is one of my favorite Cowboys (he comes from my alma mater, Ouachita Baptist).

Yeah
His offense has a lot of weapons, especially for hitting Payton’s deep pass plays.

lol I love how the QB's dropped after the 1st two! Build the trenches and the D, smart
Pessimists say the cup is half-empty, while optimists say it's half-full. Well, isn't it both? Realist Larry, 2009
yep
once Staubach and Aikman were gone, it wasn’t much difference between Romo and Meredith, although Romo holds a slight edge for me (which is why I ended up taking him). The gamble was whether or not Rabble would corner the QB market early.
The draft order helped.

Yup
Besides the fact that I was building a team that any smart and tough QB could find success, the list of available QBs made the decision to wait pretty easy.
I thought I lucked out by the draft order, loved the double picks at the end of the snake. The rosters were key. I had a team design that had a lot of great players in Cowboys history to choose from, and a reason I could wait so long before getting Landry some LBs, but positions like DB must have been a pain for teams that have to rely on them – especially after OCC cornered the market with his great secondary (which I kind of did with the DL – though that list is sooo much longer.)

Indeed-- I was planning on the elite secondary after I picked Renfro and thought I'd be able to steal Sanders
because of his relatively low Cowboys AV (see my very next selection of T.O.).
I was handicapped because I have two ‘outsider’ coaches lol, but I feel like I have the offensive side in spades. I got 3 OL that are top 30 all time Cowboys AV, plus Free and Gurode. To block for Emmitt? With Anderson out the backfield? OMG… Romo would win every MVP ever.

HAHA
Yeah, I think your team is hands down the most explosive offense, but I’ve gotta say, I don’t know if any QB will have the time to throw downfield with my Front 7 dominanting the line of scrimmage. In fact, i don’t know how many QBs even survive the game against them, HAHA, but Tony is very mobile

Rabble's O is competition in the explosion department
because of Hayes’ elite speed and the fact you just can’t stop Jason Witten. We have the offensive teams, you and OCC have the defensive ones, with each having big talent on the other sides.
Should be very interesting indeed. I have to figure out a way to get these games simultated if it takes me the entire season.

That's what's so great!
Each team is great in it’s own way, with these type of players, you see how even great teams faced off with opposing schemes will react. great imaginary game of chess with Cowboys greats.

All the teams have something going for them.
But dude – Aikman throwing to Irving, Hayes and Witten? Holy crap.
If at first you don't succeed - blame someone else.
HEY!!
I said it was sick!…that in a good way ….but yeah Aikman+Irving+Hayes+Witten=Landry running a run and shoot…..
