Something occured to me before but I never made much of a connection between the dates.  Jason Garrett says he wants the "Right Kind of Guys" (RKG).  The thought is that you cannot find the RKG on film.  You can see how well he plays talent wise and stuff, but you have to MEET/TALK TO the player to get that kind of feeling for him.  I stated a while back that I think Garrett Would want to meet the players before realistically signing them.  Free agency OFFICIALLY begins today at 5 pm CST.  Their practice ends at 5:30 PM CST. 

During the whole news that Plaxico Buress was going to have a sit down with Tom Coughlin and the Giants, they said the meeting would have to be postponed.  This is because players could not legally meet with coaches or team officials and such until 5 pm CST on Friday.  I already learned that one player is supposed to be coming to Dallas today to meet with Garrett.  Is this just the thing we have been waiting for the entire time?  Just so Garrett can get his RKGs?  Maybe he wouldn't might having Sensabaugh back, but he wants to see if there are better guys out there for the team.  Garrett seems to me to be very thorough, so it was obvious to me that he most likely wouldn't just let anyone off the street just come to his team because they had nice numbers.  He wants a nice head on their shoulders too and a love for the game.

This may have been the prime reason for the delay that we may have never realized.  We know that Garrett is a different kind of coach, so it makes sense he will do things a little differently.  He'll officially be able to meet some of these guys around 5:30 pm CST after the practice ends this afternoon.  Maybe that is when we should really put our ears to the ground to see what is happening on the free agency front...
