Cowboys Ticket Contest

A little shameless self-promotion, if the community will indulge me for a moment. BTB has a partnership with TiqIQ, a company that sells tickets to sporting events. In preparation for football season, they've created a contest where they are giving away $200 worth of tickets to a lucky Cowboys fan. How do you get said tickets? I'm glad you asked.

Sb_promo_cowboys_medium

First, you click this link and go to the BTB Facebook page for Tickets. When you get there, click the "Like" link towards the top, Then post your prediction. What prediction? From TiqIQ:

Win $200 worth of tickets to a game of your choice in the TiqIQ NFL Kickoff contest by predicting:
1. Final score of the 1st Cowboys game, and winner
2. Who will score the 1st TD in that game
3. How many yards the play will cover for the 1st TD

Whoever comes closest wins the $200 worth of tickets. Also, we have continuous ticket service here at BTB, so if you're looking for game tickets, click this link or follow the navigation at the top that says "Tickets".

Thanks for your time. Now back to regular programming.

I don't do Facebook

and wouldn’t have the money to travel anyway but

I predict:

31 – 17 Cowboys
Dez Bryant
18 yds

you really think we score 31 on the Jets?

here is mine though:

Final 21-7 ’Boys with the final TD coming off a Pick Six by Scandrick

First TD goes to Austin on a 50 yard Bomb third play of the game….

Here’s a theoretical play from 2010: Snap. Tony takes 7 step drop. Tony looks left at Miles, who is doubled, and looks right to where Roy Williams should be…but instead sees Colombo on his back and a Defensive End foaming at the mouth jumping over Marc’s carcass. Tony proceeds to run like hell and look for Witten

Am I the most optimistic Cowboys fan in the World? Yes, due to an "unfortunate accident" to the previous holder of the title.

you really think this D will only give up 7 points?

Yes our offense is top 3 in the league and with improved oline, JG practice habits and a healthy Dez they easily put up 31

not that our Defense is that good

more like the Jets Offense is that Bad…HAHA

Prediction...

27-16 Cowboys

Forbath goes 2-2 FG and 3-3 XP
DWare, Rat, and Butler have a group strip/sack of Sanchez. Butler takes it in for 6.
Dez and Revis jump ball. Dez takes it to the house.
4 sacks, 1 Def TD, 1 INT. Rob gives Rex a head noogie in the post game.
Rob gets invite to next WWE PPV.

Is there a time limit as to when our predictions can go in?

It doesn’t mention anything as to that, and I’d like to see how our defensive line does, how their C bounces back, and Terence Newman comes along before I make my assessment. Also how the Jets running backs look in the preseason – Greene was in killer form two years ago but struggled last year. If he bounces back it’s going to be tough, the Cowboys give up a lot of run yards (which Rob Ryan’s defenses traditionally do) I could see this being sort of a mismatch for the Cowboys.

My prediction

Cowboys over Jets, 24-20
First TD: Romo to Bryant for 45 yards

by CowBearsFan on Aug 17, 2011 1:05 PM CDT reply actions

Jets 27-12

Sanchez, QB sneak
1 yard!

How will we get 12? I’m not sure, but here’s what I know-the kicking game is a shambles and the season starts in 3 weeks. I see missed XP’s, and missed FG’s leaving points on the field. Some sort of weird # for the Boys.

so you think this offense sputters out the gate like last year?

Except this year the Offense is a clear upgrade and Dez is starting over Roy. Felix starting and JG is in charge so there won;t be 4 weeks of camp cupcake.. but you think 12 points? Wow

I think they sputter, considering the Jets have one of the Top D's in the league

I think the kicking game is looking horrific and will leave points on the field, as I said-maybe 6 or 9 points, maybe even a PAT.

I think our D is still full of holes until proven otherwise. No one is talking about how we don’t have that true nickel LB, ever since Burnett left (looks like Ryan’s going to go a lot of nickel and extra safeties-I don’t think our young safeties are that good). I don’t know if they can get off the field on 3rd down, and I think Ryan’s going to be gambling with blitzes all day-and we’ll get burned.

And I think the Jets at home, Sunday night, national TV, brother vs. brother, is worth more than the usual 3 points. Say 6.
