Around SBN: On Hazards And Hulks And Tigers, Oh My!

I quit reading after the first paragraph, but at least the intro earned a laugh ..

oh, more brilliance

Buehler’s specality is kickoffs and he’s got 51 in his first two seasons in the NFL.

I’m pretty sure that Buehler has had more than 51 kickoffs in two seasons. 51 touchbacks maybe.

I'd cut Kitna just to make a spot for DB

I’d rather have a Touchback 95% of the time. Can imagine one sack and then a punt and this offense suddenly has a short field!

This is insane.

Because we're going to need Kitna if Romo gets hurt.

Hopefully it doesn’t happen but if it does it’s very nice to have somebody like Kitna to fall back on. That’s way more valuable than a shaky kicker that has trouble kicking FGs with any kind of consistent accuracy.

We Have Our Kicker

Dave Rayner was released by the Lions.
Jerry sent his jet to Detroit to pick him up and he is already in Dallas, and has been signed.
I think the kicking search is over folks.

How Many Do We Have?

Five kickers? And two of them not able to kick right now.
Looking at many, and obviously not thrilled yet. Think they will bring in any more?

I’m kinda thinking they’ll put Forbath on IR for next year. Or maybe they’ll put him on PUP for now, and if things are working out with Rayner or whoever else we go with, they’ll put him on IR in week 6. If things still aren’t settled then, maybe they’ll activate Forbath. I just don’t think they’d have kept him around this entire time if they didn’t have some sort of plan for him.

They're stashing him to let him get healthy.

They know what they’ve got, he will be the long term solution.

Rayner

So who knows about this guy? Fill me in.

Big leg, not very accurate.

Basically a lesser David Buehler.

Thinks he's done enough?

Test him for drugs.
