Last night the Cowboys blew a 4th quarter lead and lost the game by a field goal. A game they pretty much dominated for 3 quarters. Because of this Cowboys fans world wide are hurting, upset and disgusted. The game was ours to take and we gave it away. Frustrating.
A matter of perspective. Put yourself in the shoes of an Indianapolis Colts fan right now. The man you have relied upon since 1998 is out indefinitely after having neck surgery. With Manning no longer at the helm, the Houston Texans handed you your head and said "Have a nice day".
Without Peyton Manning as their leader, the Colts season is in jeopardy. 17 yr veteran Kerry Collins proved he cannot lead the Colts. Without a reliable backup, the Colts are in some serious trouble and they know it. As far as I know, they have not drafted any qb in recent years. There is no one behind Manning being groomed to take his place. They do have a rookie back there but its plain he's no where near ready to play. The Colts are now in a tailspin. Peyton Manning IS this team. He defines what the Colts are. Now that he's gone, who is going to be the leader? Until they find one, the Colts can write this season off.
And, if you're a Cowboys fan, does it make you feel any better?
