It's hard not to get that deja vous feeling when Romo foolishly fumbles at the goal line in the fourth quarter and then throws an interception into double coverage to lose the game for good.
1. Romo was a Pro Bowl QB for three quarters, making good decisions and great passes, despite facing one of the fiercest if not the best defenses in the NFL, on the road, and having no running game and getting sacked four times and pressured other times.
2. The defense showed heart, especially Jenkins, who was obliterated on a couple of vicious hits and still hung in there, an inspiration to his teammates.
3. Dez was unstoppable fiscally and then gotten taken out of the game by his lack of conditioning and experience. Still, you can see that Dez can be a beast and it looks like he wants to be that player and, along with Austen, this offense is going to be hard to stop.
4. I liked the things that Garrett has said this week. It's so refreshing after having to listen to Wade.
Romo really took his decision-making flaws to heart in 2009 and I think this game was a good wake up call for him. So I have a feeling we'll see a more disciplined Romo from this point forward. I also gotta believe the running game will start to establish itself and when it does, the offense will be able to carry the day.
And yet, Jenkins and Lee and Ware and maybe spencer and Ratliff, maybe this defense is going to be a lot better than we all thought this year.
