After taking the stance yesterday that Dez Bryant would take the field against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, it appears as if Jerry Jones is changing his tune. Yesterday, Jones made it sound as it was it was certainty that Bryant would play despite not taking part in practice all week, citing Bryant's playmaking ability and toughness.
This morning, Jerry Jones backed off those statements a bit during his morning radio show and said that there's a chance that Bryant might not be able to play against the 49ers, according to the National Football Post.
Dez Bryant did not take part in practice this morning and was not on the field during the media portion of practice. Jason Garrett has stated in the past that for a player to play on Sunday they have to have practiced somewhat during the week and as far as we know, Bryant has yet to take the field during practice after suffering a quad strain against the Jets.
Right now the official word is that the Cowboys are monitoring Bryant and will make a determination on his playing status on Sunday.
