Apologies are ripe and great right now, just make sure you get out there and defend the hell out of Romo to make up for your lack of faith in the most trying of times. I admit last week I too was hurt by what happened but at the time I knew he was hurting much more then I ever could! It was him who got out there and told the cameras it was his fault, took the entire blame, now he owned some of it there's no mistake about that, but what I'm trying to point out was that there were mistakes all along the way and he gave everybody else a pass by "taking the bullet" for the team. Special Teams probably got the biggest pass due to their monumental mess which in my eyes is really what lost the games for us, but thats in the past and I've moved on.
In my eyes that was the start of much more to come, which lead to today while being benched by the trainers he was outwardly angry, something I think we all wanted to see emotion. He knew he had more to give for his team, whether the staff could see it or not he knew he wasn't finished. Then come the ints and what do ya see Romo on the sidelines trading in his hat for his helmet, he knew it was his chance to show everyone just who he has been all along. Not some choker who can't finish strong, but rather the man we've seen time and time again after a tough loss the man who learns form his mistakes. So heres to him learning his lesson this year, after being out for almost a full year, in the first game of the season to a non-conference team.
It makes me proud this week to know that when I was standing up for him all last week he was fighting to learn and not make the same mistakes again this week. Let's remember that fateful day last year what Romo said...did we get the 1st down? If that's not the words of a leader then I don't know what is. Now I can't predict the future but I do know that we face 2 teams in a row with 2-0 records, one a divisional and longtime rival the other everybodies favorite wagon to jump on this year. I'm much more concerned about the Lions but in no way do I think for one second that Garrett is sleeping on the Skins.
It will be intresting to watch this Monday to see just how we can do against our only team in the division with a perfect record, can you believe it?! Here's hoping the one extra day will help with getting an extra player over the injury bug and getting maybe both our starting WRs in at home. It's our first home game of the year, it's Monday night, and it's against the Division leader so far. Sounds like the recipe for a GRRRRRRREAT game.
Sorry for unloading all this on ya but its been weighing heavily on me and needed to be said. So let's raise our Mugs be it coffee or booze and toast to a man who has fought hard for us. To you Tony Romo. Looking forward to a fun and exciting rest of the season with our team the Dallas Cowboys!
