Sources: Tony Romo has punctured lung
While a CT scan revealed only one fracture to Tony Romo's ribs, the Cowboys' quarterback has been diagnosed with a punctured lung, according to sources.

at how Romo was able to just hang in there with a broken rib and a punctured rib to come back and win this game.

If this is true
It must be a very small pneumothorax or he’d be in the hospital right now with a chest tube. In the rest of us, we’d be told to take it easy and repeat with some x-rays later on. Unlikely they let Romo play with the condition and risk a more serious injury. Pneumothorax can be fatal.
