Here we go...
*** Tony... Fiammetta
Limited in last weeks victory over the niners ,due to having to grasp the playbook in a few weeks, Fiammetta made a few big plays. Catching only 1 pass for 15 yards it helped set up a Cowboy FG (which we all know were very important)
But where he was more effective was in the run game where he helped Felix Jones rush for 115 yards on 14 carries. Felix broke multiple long runs on what looked to be a cut back running play and has Fiametta to thank on a few occasions. On Felix longest run of the night Fiametta took out 2 defenders on one block. He may not be moose but the more he grasp the playbook I beilive the more the running game finds its way.
***Keyon Coleman
Once Hatcher went out someone from the D line had to step up. Enter Coleman. Once again the run defense was outstanding holding the 10th ranked rushing team (123 ypg) entering week 3 to 65 yards. Yet again not giving up a 100 yard rushing performance. And Coleman has a lot to do with that. He often pushed the pocket and penetrated the zone blocking scheme which is key defending it. Coleman was credited with 6 tackles and was often a disruptive force in the running game.
***Gerald Sensabaugh
Yea that guy. How many of you had horrible visions of Roy Williams Santana Moss MNF happening all over again?
Sensa seemed to play very sound ball and not hearing his name much was a good thing. Although his name was called on what would be a huge play. After driving again into FG range and setting up for a FG Sensa beat the edge blocked. With help from a bad hold he was able to get his long arms reached out and block the FG. That's 3 points off the board in a 2 point victory. Sensabaugh was also credited with 7 tackles, 2nd behind Sean Lee aka LEE-fence aka MVLEE.
There you have my Week 3 edition of DFTG. As always feel free to include anyone you think I over looked. Looking forward to next week BTBers.
