Worsens the draft position for them. Less likely they get a good QB, unless they firesale everything.

want us to come over for dinner after the Broncos game. Part of me wants to be over there with everyone with my Romo jersey on to celebrate the BIG win. Part of me wants to send the wife and son over there and lock myself in the house and watch the Cowboys game by myself. What would you guys do?

"Accept the challenges so that you can feel the exhilaration of victory." - General George S. Patton.
I for one wonder why the Giants dont wear those god-awful red jerseys anymore
is it b/c we beat them everytime they did? Is that why we have to wear our Blue jerseys. since some believe it’s cursed or something? Or is it that the Giants play so bad at home that if they wear their away jerseys it will give them a mental boost or something?
Im taking this way to seriously…

History lessen time
We wear white at home because Tex wanted the home crowd to see more colors. To see what the NFL has to offer instead of always seeing our blue and the other team in white.
Most teams wear their colors for their home crowd so therefore when we go on the road we wear white too.
It is the home teams choice to wear what jersey, on some occasions in September a team like the bucs might decide to wear white to force us to wear the blues which might be hotter.
Tex was a marketing genius and reason why our uniform is the most recognizable in NFL

I like the steelers throwbacks.
But guys Throwbacks are always the ALT jersey. The team decide what their alt will for the year during the offseason. The pats don’t wear a throwback normally they just have a shiny silver alt, as we know the giants have the reds usually, the eagles, and cardnials favor the black style mostly as their alt too.
It changes every year.

anything can happen
but usually doesn’t.
Four teams the last 10 years by my estimate have made completely 100% unexpected SB runs. The 2001 Patriots 2003 Panthers and 2007 Giants. The 2006 Colts had a humongous defensive turnaround, but they had Bob Sanders get healthy.
Really, in the last 5 years the only outlier is the Giants and that team had a far better regular season D than we do.
thats your estimate
my list would be a lot bigger including the cardnials among a ton other teams and WC teams

we were SB caliber in 2007
And MAYBE 2008 despite the way the year ended – we contended with and nearly beat the two AFC Championship teams in December. If Romo doesn’t go down that year who knows what happens.
But since then? No. The OL was a problem in 2009 and the defense has been a catastrophe since then.
I don't think we were SB caliber in 2007
We had a very good record, but had two of the wildest Harry Houdini improbable wins against mediocre teams I’ve ever seen. If we’d lost them like we should have, we would have been 11-5, which is good but not championship class. Our defense that year was soggy, and once Owens got hurt our offense went south and hasn’t been at that level since.
Rams went from worst to first in the year they won the Super Bowl.

To win this game tonight...
the OL has got to fend of that front 4 of the Giants, keep Romo upright and open holes for FJ and 23. Austin, Robinson and Dez have to make those 3rd and LONG grabs because you KNOW they’re gonna have 3rd and long most of the day.
As for the D….PLEASE try and keep that long ball to a minimum. Maybe HIck’s hamstring will limit the land grabs. Lee and Ware have to keep Eli, Bradshaw and Jacobs in check. IF Ware can put pressure on Eli and IF we can keep the runs to short gains and make ’em go 3 and out all day.. then WE HAVE A CHANCE.
This is IF the weather cooperates and doesn’t rain or snow….AND if Romo’s hand is really ok.
Otherwise…it may be a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong day and then the Offseason and the Draft will be on the radar.

I'll just say it
the Saints are the best offense in this league and by far the most complete. Week in week out they’re scoring 30+ and putting up outrageous yard totals.
Aaron Rodgers may be the best qb, but he has an average oline and little running game. The Saints have it all.
and on that note
Brees just threw a godawful red zone interception.

If we were playing Philly, NO or GB
I would be with you.
But this Giants team has so many holes. Eli’s played worse at home, as has the whole team for that matter. Their D is a mess regardless of how they did against Matt Sanchez. We are mostly healthy and Romo has been incredible the last two months. The greatest indicator as to who wins playoff games its which qb is playing better and that is Romo.
I may be just getting my hopes up, but I think at the very least it will be competitive. My biggest concern is that Ihave zero faith we can stop Eli in a 2 minute drill situation – that guy has scored many many times in that situation against us in his career.

I’ll root like hell for this team, but I feel like a win (with the possibility of another in round 1) may long term hurt this franchise – I’m not sure we get to a SB talent level without a top 15 pick this year. Romo + Ware + Ratliff + Witten only have so much time left.
On the other hand, I think I’ll puke if the Giants win this division.
This situation seems heavy with irony to me.

who would you guys rather see dallas play in the wild card... Lions or Falcons
I like our chances vrs both. Would love another shot vrs detriot to avenge that loss earlier this year. Atlanta plays so slow and methodical. They dont scare me, although they have a very balanced attack unlike detriot.
I know Im way ahead of myself but Im also thinking about who would have a better chance to upset the saints at home, which would send dallas to san fran for the divisional round. Detriot played the saints OK earlier this year whithout Suh. Atlanta just got run out of the building

true but Newman and any of our cbswould look allot better with a pass rush
last week in the first half Vick had all day, no way Newman or anyone can cover that long. 2nd half was a way different story once Ware and Rat woke up

didja see this tweet
From T-New last night?
I’m a big TNew fan. I think he’s been a damn good player for us for quality years. Has his time come? Sure it has but I prefer to thank him for his time rather than berate him for his body not letting him play at the high level he once was capable of. Regardless, here is what he said in twitter last night:

I saw him play in college
I am a CU alumnus and when Kansas State came to Boulder I was very impressed with Newman. The KState fans that travelled to that game chanted, Terrance…Newman…. Every time he touched the ball or defended a pass. I was glad they drafted him, loved his effort, and am sad his skills have declined.

then I guess we have one worthless team right?
The Vikings in 98, Rams from 99-01 and Pats in 07 were the last 3 teams to be historically great offenses. They have had some decent playoff success – 3 SB appearances, 1 win. We’ll see how the Saints do
That would make us 2nd best all time.

But ESPN was telling me how "clutch" he was last year and how good he is at winning games
All those ‘analysts’ said they’d rather have him than Romo.
How can he be bad? I thought he was the best!
by Blue Eyed Devil on Jan 1, 2012 2:40 PM CST up reply actions
I was wondering whether good performances in those playoff games would serve as a catapult to regular season success
Brady and Ben’s play improved massively after their playoff runs.
His did not. If anything, hes regressed. Im pretty sure I’d take Matt Moore over him.
"clutch" is a fake concept
BSPN gave Sanchez all kinds of credit for winning multiple overtime games last year. But good QBs don’t go to overtime. If you’re going to overtime it’s because you’re bad.
Now the averages are evening out. Now he’s playing as bad at the end of games as he does at the beginning.
by Blue Eyed Devil on Jan 1, 2012 2:44 PM CST up reply actions
well now with hindsight
I think its fair to say his playoff performances were fluky. But Ben’s 2006 run (where he had a couple great games) seemed like a fluke at the time, and it turns out the guy is that good. Same with Brady.
Overtime games are inherently lucky, you can lose without getting the ball. But he played quite well in the playoffs last season, especially in comparison to how crappy hes looked the last couple weeks.
ha.
he’s so very average… without that crushing defense and dominant run game he’s not gonna make it. ialways hated how he got so much credit for the two AFC championship trips
