No

way we have the running backs to rush 45 times. Here’s to the OL and those guys keeping Romo clean. We will need to pass alot and we need that OL to hold off the Giants.

Not against us it didn't.

And it did pretty good last week. Jacobs can tough out needed yards in weather like this.

On a statistical front…the Cowboys have the edge in the game…it doesn’t guarantee a win…but I feel better having numbers backing us…than Toby Dungee’s opinion…

Is it time to blow the team up?

I know that sounds like an over-reaction, but I don’t see how we are one draft/free agency period away form filling in all the holes on defense. I know that Ware, Spencer, Lee are not that old, but Romo is entering his thirties. Assume it takes three years, would the window on Romo have closed? And if it would have, would we be better detonating and trying to rebuild completely, instead of re-stoking?

by kcr on Jan 1, 2012 7:54 PM CST reply actions

Not Romo's fault

But if Dallas doesn’t get rid of the bums in the secondary they will never do crap.

by beerman2619 on Jan 1, 2012 7:56 PM CST up reply actions

Don't think its Romo at all

I am just not sure we can reload on defense in a short enough time to fit in Romo’s window of being a very good to borderline great QB, which I think he is.

by kcr on Jan 1, 2012 7:57 PM CST up reply actions

I've worried about that too

I have every confidence that Romo is a good enough QB to win a Superbowl. I don’t have any confidence that Jerry will put a good enough team around him to win one till Romo’s in a wheelchair

by RangerMad on Jan 1, 2012 7:56 PM CST via Android app up reply actions

ugh......we don't need an all-star defense to win

we just can’t have glaring holes in the secondary. A decent CB could and an offseason to learn RR’s complex schemes could help quite a bit. Why detonate a team that has Romo, Dez, Miles, DeMarco, Tron, Lee, DWare and other good players?

by ScottB1985 on Jan 1, 2012 7:57 PM CST up reply actions

Ot seems that the d line has issues

as well as the OL and the secondary. My concern is that the holes are pretty much everywhere but the offensive skill positions. If that the case, then I think we lose the window on Romo at least. If its just the end and the secondary, then I can see the point of reload instead of rebuild.

Don't lose it here

Gosselin was saying this is the first of a three year re-tooling. next year we will not have the cap hell we have this year. We are really about where we hoped to be in 2011. 8-8, 9-7

just fire every player on defense not named Ware, Lee, Carter, Jenkins and Ratliff

and in Ware’s case, trade him to a team that actually gives a sh*t when it comes to championship aspirations and winning. I hate to be a downer, but watching this game im surprised im not cutting my wrists and listening to my chemical romance.

I disagree...inept players.

For example, Brooking sees there is no one to cover the flat…no timeout? But he elects to get blown away by an OT. Pure dumbness! Brooking, James, Ball, and Newman are the real reason why we are down 21. I know the offense is an issue for sure…but the game would be a lot closer.

What has Romo done in his career to demonstrate that he is possessed of an abundance of talent? How many MVPs has he won? How many passing titles? How many playoff games has he won? Oh yeah, one Wild Card Game 2 years ago. How many NFC Championships? Seriously.
