NC State CB David Amerson - An Eye to the Future
Forget reaching or trading up for any CB prospects this year. THIS IS THE GUY I WANT NEXT YEAR, or whenever he enters the draft as he is a junior next year. Got 9 starts as a freshman at the boundary corner position. As a sophomore he registered 13 interceptions in 2011. 2 were in the Belk Bowl.
He is listed at 6' 3" and 194 lbs on the NC State website. He is basically Dre Kirkpatrick with ball skills. No trading up for corners this year.
I say wait and grab this guy next year at all costs. If you have to do a Julio Jones trade for it then I say do it, but nab this guy. Some interceptions can be lucky but it takes something special to get 13 in a season no matter who you play.

I watched Amerson
quite a bit this year. He reminds me alot of Everson Walls. Very sneaky defender. I’m not sure what his 40 time is like, but he has an amazing nose for the ball.

Always looking for it
We have seen how QBs like to throw the ball to covered receivers, especially on seam routes. The only thing is that the defenders aren’t looking for the ball so that is why they are completed. This guy just seems to always get his head around and is expecting the ball to be thrown his way all the time. The ball will be thrown your way, you just need to be able to locate it and see it when it does and this kid does that.
