Mike Mayocks Top Five At Each Position In This Year's Draft
I saw this on NFL Network tonight. This is a link to all of his initial top 5 at each position. Of note, he ranks Leonard Johnson the #4 CB and Dre Kirkpatrick the # 5 CB

i agree..
i think dre is overrated because he’s big he tackles well and he played for bama. i’d rather have janoris then him.
I must admit, I had no idea who Leonard Johnson was until I looked him up and found that he's from Iowa State.
I looked him up on another prospect ranking and they had him #10.
Wish you were here and comfortably numb.
I wonder if this will change many BTBer's opinion about taking Dre at #14 especially with the
recent drug bust.
Wish you were here and comfortably numb.
yeah he's overrated, honestly i wouldn't be thrilled if we pick him in the first
but still i don’t think he’s the no. 5 CB
Riley Reiff over Matt Kalil?
Seems questionable to me.

Yep, quite a few surprizes.
Wish you were here and comfortably numb.
Mayock loves his Iowa players
and well….I can’t blame him. Go hawks

I like Reiff, but I'll take the guy who moved Tyron Smith over him.
Also, Go Illini.

When it comes to LBs and DEs
He’s listing them at the positions they played in college.
The pass rushers in those two categories will play either 3-4 OLB or 4-3 END.

Brewster and Zeitler were impressive in the OL vs DL drill

Thats why I love that guy
He watches so much game tape on each player and he doesn’t go by anything except what he sees on tape. Matt Kalil playing LT instead of Tyron Smith does not influence him at all. Coby Fleener having Andrew Luck throwing him is no influence.
He looks strictly at technique and motor and gives a grade. You will see him make different judgements on players than anyone else in the league, and as the off-season goes, the mocks and grades tend to mirror his work.
I actually like that Brockers is rated #3 because that means he could possibly fall to us, however, that doesn’t account for 3-4 ends which he could be the best in this class. I am eager to see his explanation of each one.
