Senior Bowl Notes
I didn't see a designated landing spot for the collected internet musings on the Senior Bowl practices, so I thought it might be nice to have one. If I missed it, I will gladly take this down.
To start us off, a hat tip to the Great Blue North Report for collecting these four links in their latest update:
As we wait for Wednesday’s practice sessions to get underway, here and here and here and here are several observations from yesterday’s Senior Bowl practices.

"Obviously, I felt like if I ran into my lineman there it was going to help the play" ~Tony Romo
Clark just do your thing.
Jerry is the end all in Dallas.
Damn
Cordy Glenn stonewalled Upshaw and Ingram every time. He used Upshaw’s lack of explosion against him by extending out his long arms and standing Upshaw up.
Against Ingram, he used Ingram’s lack of arm length against him.
Glenn is a beast.
"The tone is business," Garrett said. "Let's get to work. The Giants are going to be at the Meadowlands on Sunday at 4:15. They're an awfully good football team. We have to get ready for them."

I like Ingram alot. If you could put Ingram's talent in Upshaw's body u would have the perfect olb.
This is why I expect to see Perry move up the board. Not saying he should be our guy. He has the long arms and a good burst. However I tend to favor sec guys.

I agree Perry will move up the board
I don’t care what conference a guy plays in if it’s from a bowl subdivision conference. I think SEC defensive players get overrated because they can put their numbers up against teams who are offensively challenged. If I take an SEC kid he better be the athletic package otherwise I’m going to consider the non-sec guy with better stats and better measurables.

Very intrigued with George Iloka from Bosie St.
From National Football Post
He is talll (6-3) for a middle of the field safety, displayed some range and took good angles to the ball on the skinny post/seam route. But with any free safety, we have to talk about coverage skills at the NFL level. Can he walk down over a slot, handle the TE on the 7 (corner) route, etc.?
Wes Bunting seems to really like the kid, going to watch Senior Bowl practices I recorded tonight, really want to see him play.
"I still feel like I have something to offer, and the cynical fan can really kiss my ass. I really don’t care. There’s a bunch of true fans and the people who actually want to take the time to get to know me know who I am. The guy who sits in his mom’s basement and types on his mom’s computer, I couldn’t really care less about." - Chipper Jones

George Iloka is a safety I really like.
He played CB his final 3 games at BSU because they had injuries. Very athletic guy, with natural ball hawk skils.

+1
dude seems like he could be a good FS & mayock did have some good things to say about his skillset.
he has the cover skills of a CB but has height to challenge the 6’5 Wrs/Tes. great hands & ball skills but whats the negatives on this kid to have him ranked so low?
Every team has a great gameplan until they get Punched in the Mouth. Sean Lee is a welcomed addition at ILB & Kegabear's prediction about Spencer looks spot on so far.
Like Rophuri said, Iloka moved to CB for last part of the season.
Watch their utter dismantling of Arizona St.’s spread attack in the bowl game…the same ASU who had beaten USC 43-22 earlier in the year and finished the season ranked #6 in the nation.

"...and just things really starting to unravel now for Utah..." Herbie, BSU vs. Utah, 22 Dec 2010
I've brought him up already
But what are anyone’s thought on Dwight Bentley? He’s a CB from my home town alma mater, and a damn good player. I thought he may sneak into the 4th, but he’s been killing it at the Senior Bowl practices, and now being raved about and talked about as a 2nd rounder! I would love to see this kid with a star on his helmet.
