Your favorite 2011 cowboy?
Why? Who was the biggest surprise (good or bad)? Who looks the most promising in the future? Most impressive rookie? Who shouldn't play another snap for the cowboys?

I'll play
1) Tony Romo and DeMarcus Ware: what’s not to love about having a top10 QB and the best pass rusher in the league?
2) Laurant Robinson was the most surprising Cowboy, 11 TDs as the 3rd WR, from a guy who wasn’t on the roster until Week 3.
3) Dez Bryant, Sean Lee, Tyron Smith looked to be the most promising in the future.
4) Demarco Murray was the most impressive rookie.
5) I’m sick of Martellus Bennet, did you see that horrible attempt to catch a pass at Philly which he volleyballed into a Romo INT? Story of his Cowboys career. If you’re going to call out Romo, you better perform when your number is called. You weren’t drafted to be a glorified tackle.
"The tone is business," Garrett said. "Let's get to work. The Giants are going to be at the Meadowlands on Sunday at 4:15. They're an awfully good football team. We have to get ready for them."

I should say
Bennett wasn’t drafted just to be a glorified tackle.
"The tone is business," Garrett said. "Let's get to work. The Giants are going to be at the Meadowlands on Sunday at 4:15. They're an awfully good football team. We have to get ready for them."

I forgot about this:
If you’re going to call out Romo, you better perform when your number is called. You weren’t drafted to be a glorified tackle.
After what he said, you’re right; he had better make every catch. He sure as hell had better not cause an INT by missing a throw right into his hands.
Last May he declared Kitna deserves a chance to start
Then the mothership went on FB and stirred up some controversy by asking Cowboys fans to weigh in, low and behold a lot of idiots came out of the wood work agreeing with Marty B.
Of course, Bleacher Report sent out an email to Dallas Cowboys fans who read their trash “QB Controversy Brewing in Dallas?”
"The tone is business," Garrett said. "Let's get to work. The Giants are going to be at the Meadowlands on Sunday at 4:15. They're an awfully good football team. We have to get ready for them."

Romo was number one. He had some of the most exciting games I've ever seen
him have. The Drive alone was unreal. Murry and Smith got off to great starts as Cowboys. LOVED Laurent Robinson working hard out there and never giving up on a play.
Sean Lee
One of the only bright spots in 2011 for a cowboys/penn state fan
The worst surprise? Our extremely disapointing defense
Here goes
Favorite Cowboy. Demarco loved the violence he runs with.
Good surprise. Robinson by a mile…where the hell did he come from?
Bad surprise. The LB play, James fell off so suddenly and so far.
Most promising. Sean Lee, he’s quickly becoming one of the best ILBs in the league.
Most impressive rookie. Tyron Smith, he adjusted very well to a tough position at a young age.
Shouldn’t play another snap. Alan Ball, it has to be a secondary player for me, with the exception of Jenkins they can all share this one in honesty.
I'll go with one not mentioned
but has to be a fan fav, Jason Witten.
I still remember him losing his helment and still going for extra yards.
Worst Newman.

Most Promising: Sean Lee easily the best D player on the team for the next 10 years.
Most Impressive Rookie: Bailey!

"Obviously, I felt like if I ran into my lineman there it was going to help the play" ~Tony Romo
+1
On Dan freaking Baily, and Lee leading the team in INTs next year most likely!
Optimissum Prime sees nothing but the best for America's Team!!!

Bailey had really good year
Just think how differently this season goes if Garrett doesn’t ice him in AZ and JPP doesn’t get through to block the next week.
Wow, come to think of it, 3 games were lost because of special teams:
1) Jets game-the blocked punt TD swung the game; Romo’s INT doesn’t happen if the punt doesn’t get blocked.
2) Cardinals game-Garrett Ices Bailey in Az
3) First Giants game-JPP breaks through the line blocks Bailey’s kick.
"The tone is business," Garrett said. "Let's get to work. The Giants are going to be at the Meadowlands on Sunday at 4:15. They're an awfully good football team. We have to get ready for them."

Yeah
There was only one rookie kicker better than him and no one knows how the blocked one would’ve gone.

No such thing as "icing".
It’s just a freakin word. Kickers are professionals and should be able to make 2 kicks from the same spot within 2 minutes. Now you mentioned JPP blocking the “second” kick of Bailey but you failed to call that an “icing” by Coughlin. What’s the difference? Bailey is awesome and I’m glad we have our kicker for the next 10 years but in know way was he “iced”, he just missed the freakin kick.

Sean Lee
Young, smart, and really really good.
We have the goal of winning Super Bowls. If you don't have that, find the door.
Jason Garrett
I'm taking the easy way out
Tony Romo was far and away my favorite Cowboy of the year. The toughness he showed all season long impressed me to no end.
Robinson and Bailey were the biggest surprises to me. I didn’t expect anything at all from Robinson and I was just hoping Bailey would be better than Buehler.
We're here to win football games. The way to do that is to tell him and to get on him at the right times. I do that when you guys (media) don't see and watch.''
What else makes a strong leader?
"You win,'' Romo said. "You're a very good leader once you win.
"That's' what we're going to do.''
My "Thanks for your service but its time to go" guys
Terrence Newman, Bradie James, Keith Brooking, Martellus Bennett

I'd be willing to give Bradie James a chance to redeem himself as a backup (because we'll need one)
but it’s time for the others to go.
