PUSH TO THE MIDDLE VERSUS PASS RUSH. It is time to have this out here. There are some who say the team ought to focus on the push to the middle is what the team needs ( in addition to CBs) Others say we need pass rush. While I think more push to the middle would certainly good , I think the far greater need is pass rush. Remember run stoppers are a dime a dozen we already got two of them in Spears and Coleman . Push to the middle guys would just be upgrades over Spears and Coleman. That of course would not be bad but that is not the main problem with the defense. The Cowboys main defensive problems are being unable to cover and being unable to pass rush. Last I think a great pass rush is overall more disruptive to an offense than the push to the middle.
