I would be thrilled with this
Janoris Jenkins is the best corner in the draft in my opinion. This draft could potentially yield 3 starters with Jenkins, Winn and Iloka.
And more options @ KR/PR with Robinson and Jackson.
Plus Robinson and Jackson are as fast as Jenkins, which gives us slot corners that can play man, turn and run with the WRs. Fill-in-rows for injuries as well.
This will easily fill in the “leaks” on the defense.
Yeah
They’ll keep Ball, Walker and Newman off the roster
I may even switch the 2nd Pick for
DE Jared Crick
+1
and Jason Jones is one more free agent.

I support any decision by the Cowboys Front Office
But unless u can convince me y Jerry would spend so much money on Williams or Nicks, I can’t see this happening. It has been shown in countless articles that Spencer is one of the best strong-side OLB in the NFL. Replacing him with an unproven rookie is high risk and just asking for less production. He got 6 sacks this year with no push from the DLine. Thats very good production for his position.
Tell me y Dallas would let Kosier walk. Look what happened to 4-year pro Doug Free when Kosier was taken away from his side. Moving Tyron Smith to LT would clearly be asking for Romo to take a lot of blind-side hits without Kosier next to him to help him out. Plus we have 3 young Gs (Kowalsky, Arkin, Nagy) who can step it up.
The primary concerning positions are Center and Cornerback with Defensive End and Safety being the secondary concern. ILB is the third concern; more for depth purposes. This can be addressed in Free Agency, along with Center. Leaving CB, Safety and DE as our concerns in the draft.
Why Center in the draft?
Because we need that veteran in the middle to help our young starting Right Guard, whomever thst may be.
Very possible.
I start by saying I’m not all high on signing Williams but based on your mock is why I had to list him because Spencer is not the answer.
Which is brings me to Spencer. In this case numbers do lie. He is lacking intensity, hunger, and consistency. Often disappears for weeks at a time and is invisible on the field at times. He’s averaged 4 sacks a year opposite of Ware and rarely makes plays. There are about 5-6 guys who are too complacent with their position and don’t play with that intensity or hunger new blood is needed. Those players included Spencer, Newman, Brookings, James, Ball. They all need replaced with more motivated, hungry, younger players. What has Spencer shown to warrant 4 more years of mediocrity.
As for Nicks Jerry has definitely shown to pay Guards money by signing them via FA. Marco Rivera, Kyle Kosier, Leonard Davis to name a few. And at age 26 with multiple pro bowls under his belt Nicks is better than all the others and you would be getting him in the prime of his career. It makes perfect sense to sign him. Again based off your draft your ignoring the line therefore it has to be addressed via FA in a major way.
I too like Kilowski but at center over Costa. If Nicks is signed that will upgrade the line tremendously. As for Kosier I’m not a huge fan but he could get by for one year as the others continue to mature. But Free will be fine on the Right side and Smith will be a stud LT. Now imagine pairing either one next to Nicks, yea that’s way better than having Arkin who couldn’t sniff the field or Nagy who was a 7th rounder next to them. Without addressing the line your back at square one.

I'm all for it
I would like to have Nicks as well, but we can’t let Spencer go because it creates another hole to fill that we cannot afford to do at this time. Our OLine, Dline and DBs need to be addressed.
I would like to see how many times Spencer rushes the passer vs playing coverage. I don’t believe he disappears. I’m under the impression that he is doing his job, which is why he doesn’t get mentioned. He’s not a flashy player. He’s solid.
Vinny Curry has to add more weight to play 3-4 DE
Cowboys like to have 300lbs DEs. Billy Winn has the size and comes from a 3-4 system.
Can he stop the run?
Is he going to produce more then Spencer? Not a chance I’m willing to take.
