Around SBN: Following UFC 146 Loss, Jason 'Mayhem' Miller 'Done' in UFC

Okay I'm being very serious about this one. One of the most Rec'd Fanpost of all time is a monument to embarrassment here on this site. And this is Lee Ford's article. (To be honest he has multiple articles on the same fabricated lie that are Rec'd more than they should be). Now if he came back to defend himself or his position I wouldn't say what I'm about to say, but he just posted garbage in "legalese" and vanished. Having that as one of the most HIGHLY RECOMMENDED posts leads any Newcomer to believe that we on Blogging the Boys CURRENTLY endorse his message. This to me is an injustice to the many great writers we have hear on BTB. At the beginning of the day the Fanpost was at 38 REC's and declining... :) Now if you are one of the individuals who recommended this Fanpost (don't raise your hand) and no longer recommend this as a must read PLEASE UNREC'. Right the wrong that many made while in search of hope. Please REC this Fanshot enough so it stays on the front page for a little bit if you agree. If not keep it moving, enjoy the many great articles and Fanposts we have here. Thanks BTB!

Rec for you

Unrec for him…goes off to vomit

This is almost as embarrassing as the time I bought the Mendenhall and K. Moreno hype…

As for me, I had to Unrec'ed his first post

IMMEDIATELY after reading his second post. Must have been a redskin fan trolling?

No ESPN-Connecticut Mafia Cowboy Agreement for me.

he also had really bad grammar for a lawyer

but i still went ahead and rec’d it…guess i was praying for a miracle

It was that or to accept that as we returned from a lockout

We would have no hope. And that this team would not add any FA, and go 8-8 with “middling” talent. And I don’t know about you but that was something I was NOT willing to accept. Lesson learned.

RECEIVED

hehe I remember this well and have been waiting for him to make an appearance. It appears everything Lee Ford was saying was a complete and utter lie. Putz!!!

by livemontana on Jan 4, 2012 3:59 PM CST reply actions

the part i never understood was

The amount of time and energy that he put into that garbage. It was VERY LONG and very wordy. Even his comments and replies were Fanposts in and of themselves. To me I thought “No one would put all this effort into a complete and total fantasy”……………………. I was wrong.

Someone else made this point back in July

His posts had a remarkable level of verbosity and determination.

He was probably shroomin.

by florida dodger on Jan 4, 2012 8:25 PM CST up reply actions

Thanks, JL.

I had already “un-rec’d” the one article after reading O.C.C’s article today.

I just “un-rec’d” the others as well.

I had some skepticism, but everything he put up seemed credible. Even the front-page writers were giving him credibility by how they fawned as well.

I was even miffed at the hostile and challenging tone taken by Fan in Thick and Thin, when he began to openly question Lee Ford’s claims.

(Hands over crown)... Dude seriously you are the most optimistic Fan in the world……

I think Tom sums up BTB's reaction to this article nicely
Give us just what we want to hear, and we reward you.

Simply hilarious.

Can someone give a breakdown on what was said

and what was fabricated? The only thing I really remember from this was OCC’s post of the CBA.

by TheCowboyWay on Jan 4, 2012 7:21 PM CST reply actions

Everything was fabricated

I still remember this guy. Basically, he claimed that there would be no salary cap ramnifications in terms of guaranteed money from cutting veterans coming out of the lockout.

He pretended to be an insider on the CBA negotiations and would insult anyone who dared to contradict his crazed ramblings.

By about the 2nd paragraph of his second post, I and many others had figured out that Lee Ford was either:

A Redskin fan trolling or an individual with some unusual psychological issues or maybe a lot of free time.

Try reading Lee Ford's post

in the voice of Foghorn Leghorn. Then it makes a lot more sense and adds much more enjoyment. ;-)

On Lee Ford

Mr. Lee Ford is busy navigating a very dastardly case between Donald Trump, Donald Duck, and Daffy Duck over who has the legal rights to The Flintstones introduction jingle.

But if he was here to defend himself, he may say something like this….

Jerry Jones secret clause on page 76, section 2, article 1 actually gives him the rights to any and all rare minerals that may one day be mined on the moon, and part 3C, which the other owners blindly signed off on in unison, allows Jerry to use the profits for the Cowboys to actually hold a higher cap ceiling than the rest of the league combined!!!!

It’s insane how this CBA is the CowBoysAgreement!!!! LOL

I thought about that at first FITAT

Except by leaving it Recommended you are saying that you currently think it’s a great read. It’s like if I wrote an autobiography about my ‘adventures cheating death in the sahara’ being chased by gypsies and fighting terrorists. I would probably have a lot of people recommending my book. However if they found out that I was really just a guy living in the midwest pretending to do all of these things, they would easily say…. “Um nevermind, that loser’s a fraud!”

I believe that the Lee Ford Fiasco is something that everyone who was a part of would never forget. It’s become a name that you can mention on any post in BTB and people immediately who were involved are taken back to that time. Trust me, NO ONE will forget! lol

One other thing...

Yes it was bull, but it wasn’t like he said, “Here’s what I think is going to happen.” and everyone loved him. “He lied and said that he had SEEN the documents.” Yes it smelled fishy, but we couldn’t see why anyone would put together such an elaborate ruse. I was at Jerry’s world three weeks ago, I actually got a fist bump from Emmitt which is true. I went on the field… which was true… I could then tell some bold faced lie about the fact that my brother works for the team and that I was on the sidelines for the majority of the game. I could talk about conversations I overheard with players. That fanpost would be rec’d like crazy, but it’s based on a lie, and once the lie is discovered people need to find a way to say, “this guy is NOT credible.”. Leaving the rec’s on says the opposite.

Never rec'd it, but I must admit that I initially was suckered by his series of posts.

That was until, I believe it was FiTaT, who called him on it and well he disappeared like snow on an August morning.

Wish you were here and comfortably numb.

by pfloyd1 on Jan 6, 2012 5:39 PM CST reply actions

He actually did another article... the REAL problem was that the

ACTUAL CBA came out, and none of the things Mr. Ford talked about were anywhere to be found!!! All of the things he said that the cowboys would do, they did the opposite. lol

Haha, this whole thing was absolutely insane!

Happy to say I never “received” anything written by “Mr. Ford”…
Lol @ livemontana…no offense, of course. You were new.
I still can’t get over how many people were feeding into it at the time. Props to FiTaT for calling out this clown
