Kelley L Cox-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire
The Dallas Cowboys officially have outside linebacker Anthony Spencer listed as questionable. But the media in Dallas is basically writing him out of this game against the Ravens. Other injury news includes the punting situation.
With Anthony Spencer listed as questionable on the official injury report, there is hope that he might play. He went through a limited practice on Friday. Alas, it looks like it isn't meant to be.
Linebacker Anthony Spencer practiced on a limited basis on Friday as he continues to struggle with a strained pectoral muscle.
He is officially listed as questionable for the game against the Ravens Sunday but he will likely be held out as the Cowboys will continue to be cautious with Spencer to avoid it becoming a season-ending injury.
Not good news with Ray Rice on deck. Victor Butler would seemingly be the next man up, but he might be back to pass-rush duties only after a sub-par performance against the Bears. Looks like Alex Albright might get a shot at showing what he can do.
Look for Victor Butler and Alex Albright to alternate in his place against the Ravens. Albright will likely start in the regular defense with Butler handling pass rush duties.
In other news, punter Brian Moorman is officially out for the game. Chris Jones is questionable and could possibly play. But just in case, the Cowboys had some punters in on Friday for some last-minute auditions.
The Cowboys are trying to determine if Jones can move well enough to tackle on special teams as well as punt before deciding to sign another punter for the game.
They worked out punters Daniel Sepulveda, Chas Henry and T.J. Conley.
Ryan Cook is questionable, but Phil Costa will likely start at center. Everybody else should be good to go. On the other side, the Ravens are amazingly healthy and will have their regular contingent.
