Morris Claiborne injury: Dallas CB hurt on Ravens TD play

Matthew Emmons-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The Dallas Cowboys saw rookie cornerback Morris Claiborne leave the game on Sunday following an injury to his knee.

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne was injured on an endzone pass from Joe Flacco to Torrey Smith.

The Cowboys' first-round pick limped off the field with the help of trainers, although he was able to walk on the sideline under his own power. There is no update on his status, or whether he'll be able to return. His replacement is fifth-year CB Orlando Scandrick, who up to this point has fives tackles and two passes defended in five games. He finished his lone start of the year with just two tackles.

It was a huge blow in the closing moments of the first half as Dallas lost Claiborne and gave up a touchdown on a single play.

Up to that point, Dallas was having great success early against Baltimore, particularly on the ground, but now momentum has swung as the Ravens lead by seven.
