Garrett's playcalling...

Is it my imagination, or has Garrett gone conservative? I understand that the Cowboys were doing well with the run, against the Ravens, but I firmly believe, in today's league, you run to set up the pass. I had a bad feeling all game, even as the Boys were racking up the rushing yards. It reminded me of that playoff loss against the Giants, when MBIII racked up all those first half yards. All those running yardage, but not much scoring.

I don't have the stats to prove it, but I'd bet you that, given the same amount of yardage, passing is more likely to result in a TD, than runs. Why? Because passes are more likely to result in large chunks of yardage on fewer attempts. If I'm going to rack up 200 yards of offense, I'd rather do it passing, because it usually means you're going to have a few 25 yard plays mixed in there. If you're in the red zone, which would you rather have? A 10 yard run or a 20 yard pass?

If your run is effective, then you should do some play action pass. I think I saw only 2-3 play action all game. Why? Does Garrett not trust Romo to make a smart decision? Not trust the line to pass protect. I must have texted my friend, "play action, please," 20 times in the game...
