Dan Bailey should have made the kick.  Period.

One of the things that came out of the Ravens game that has driven me a bit bonkers is all the talk about time management at the end of the game. I consider this to be a huge distraction, just like most of the talk was at the end of the Arizona game last year (when Bailey missed a 49-yarder in an indoor stadium), or the Giants game (when his second attempt at a tieing FG was blocked).

A 51-yard kick to win the game on a beautiful day without swirling winds is a kick that needs to be made. Period. End of story.

Dan Bailey is money on kicks inside 45 yards. But he has plenty of leg to make kicks out to 55 yards or beyond, especially when weather is not a factor. He just needs to start doing it. And Coach Garrett needs to show confidence in him by trotting him out there whenever we have that chance.

I think the team got the ball well within Bailey's range to win the game Sunday. He should have made it. Lots of other kickers in the NFL would make that kick.
