Anthony Spencer remains doubtful for Sunday. - Matthew Emmons-US PRESSWIRE
The Cowboys look to travel to North Carolina with a fairly healthy team. Only four players did not participate in practice yesterday, and a fifth, Anthony Spencer, remains doubtful for Sunday.
Morris Claiborne, Phil Costa and Brian Moorman were all full participants at training yesterday. Costa and Moorman were both limited in practice on Wednesday, Costa due to a knee injury and Moorman with a strained right groin.
Anthony Spencer was also practicing, but the Cowboys are not yet convinced he'll be ready to go on Sunday:
"We’ve got to get to the point where you can say, ‘OK, now he can go play in an NFL game,’ " Garrett said on Thursday prior to practice. "He just hasn’t gotten there yet."
"We’re trying to move forward with him, and he has made progress," Garrett said. "We just get to a point at some point in the week when we say is he capable of going or not. He did more yesterday, and we’re hopeful that as we go forward, he can do more and play in this ballgame. He’s a big part of our defense."
Punter Chris Jones did not practice yesterday, but reports are that he might punt in today's practice. If not, Moorman will be the choice to handle the punting duties on Sunday.
