A year ago, this defense begged to be taken seriously. Craved recognition that they could be counted on. The results...we all remember. This year we are beginning to believe. Ryan has put together something pretty good, despite all the injuries.
But if something is to be achieved this year, the defense has to "evolve" another notch. This defense has to be able to not only stop drives, but also give this offense shorter fields and, why not, direct scores.
This of course is asking a whole lot, considering the before mentioned injuries, but if Rob Ryan is really a legitimate candidate for a head coaching gig, this is something that should be able to produce.
PS. This is my first post, so.... take it easy.
