Making the playoffs will be much harder in the NFC

Have you looked at the standings after 5 weeks? There is a distinct lopsidedness between the NFC and the AFC.

In the NFC, there are 9 teams 3-2 or better, 5 of them 4-1 or better:

Atlanta 5-0
Chicago 4-1
Minnesota 4-1
San Francisco 4-1
Arizona 4-1
New York 3-2
Philly 3-2
Seattle 3-2
St. Louis 3-2.

But it's worse than that. If you factor in the 3 playoff teams from last year who are sub-.500 -- Green Bay (2-3), New Orleans (1-4), and Detroit (1-3), you have far more dangerous teams in the NFC this year.

In the AFC, only 5 teams qualify:

Houston 4-0 (soon to be 5-0)
Baltimore 4-1
Cincinnati 3-2
New England 3-2
San Diego 3-2

If the Cowboys were in the AFC, they would be a playoff team. In the NFC, I'm not sure a 10-6 record will guarantee a playoff spot.
