With a 4-5 record, the Cowboys are quite a bit off the pace you would expect from a playoff team. Fortunately, with the way the competition is playing in the division, the Cowboys are still in contention for a playoff spot, but only if they win on Sunday against the Browns. Our panel of writers pick the weekend's games and thinks the Cowboys will stay in the hunt.
The statisticians at the NFL inform us that since the current playoff format was introduced in 1990, 16 clubs with a losing record after nine games have made the playoffs.
That's not quite one every year, but it's enough to have teams currently sitting at 4-5 dreaming of playoff glory, and the Cowboys are one of the seven teams currently stuck one game below .500.
Yet while it's nice to know that 16 teams sharing the Cowboys' current predicament eventually made the playoffs, it's also sobering to note that of those 16 teams, only one (SD, 1992) won out and finished 11-5 and only three more teams (NE '94, DET '95, GB '03) finished the season with ten wins.
But however long or short the odds are for the Cowboys of making the playoffs, all of them hinge on the Cowboys winning the game against the Browns on Sunday. Our panel this week is unanimous in picking the Cowboys for the win. And without further ado, here are our remaining picks for Week 11, 2012.

Don't forget to play Pick6 this week! We want as many BTBers playing as possible to beat out the other SB Nation communities. Show BTB-pride and play Pick6.
