I think I see the true issue with the offense

After many rants, rages against Jason Garrett, Dez Bryant, Kevin Ogletree, and the Entire Offensive line, I think that I have calmed down enough to see the true problem. The biggest difference in this year and last is Laurent Robinson. Last year, he was a competent receiver capable of reading a defense and running the right route based on the coverage presented. He also had very good hands and a great rapport with Romo. But what it seems the coaching staff underestimated was the effect he had on the entire offense.

He was a true threat that allowed the passing game to be truly difficult to defend. If you can take Dez away, and Witten, and Miles, right now you have Ogletree, who has not demonstrated that he will hurt you. The offense last year allowed Romo to have a 4th option. It took the load off of Witten as the chain mover in the offense and loosened the defense so that we could run. Now, we struggle to find a reliable 3rd receiver and the others are covered. Romo is buying time and no one is open. The lines are collapsing at the same rate but now it is more urgent because the 3rd receiver is not moving the chains. We weren't able to convert 4th and short last year with the run because we had the same line issues we are having this year. We simply had other options to move the ball. We have had goal line issues and short yardage issues because the line sucked last year and it still sucks this year. There are almost no sustained drives. We punt a lot, we don't score as often....... We miss Laurent Robinson.
