Does anyone remember Garrett's post game speech after the season opener?
He went on and on about conditioning and how they won the game by being in better game day shape than the Giants so they could take over the game late. We've been talking about one of the hallmarks of this team being late game play. We've mostly talked in terms of adjustments and complaining about game planning. We've talked in terms of Romo being let loose. We've talked in terms of 2-minute and No-Huddle and Free sucking but improving as the game goes on as well as Dez taking over games late after having relatively non-existent 1st halves.
No one has mentioned Garrett's obvious philosophy of being in shape so you can play hard in the late quarters.
Maybe the team lacks talent but catches up by being stronger late? Maybe that's why they get down early and seem to rally?
Any thoughts?
