The Dallas Cowboys tried to pull off another last second miracle, but this time the ball didn't bounce their way.
In the grand scheme of things, the loss didn't matter. Sure, the New Orleans Saints again have bragging rights over Dallas, winning for the seventh time in the last eight meetings and three of four in the Romo vs Brees matchup. However, the Saints were still eliminated from the playoff chase yesterday and there stand the Dallas Cowboys, still in control of their own destiny.
The problem is, Dallas isn't really fit to be standing up, much less giving chase to anything or anyone. Yet, here they are. Comeback after comeback, showing the resiliency that teams of the past haven't been able to muster. They fight, they scrap, they claw, trying to overcome wounds both self-inflicted and undeserving, catastrophic and of the paper cut variety. This team feels them all and keeps fighting.
We've said it a million times, there's still plenty wrong with this team. Only now most can see there's still plenty right with this team. Take some time out of your day to enjoy this latest video recap of the Cowboys, a 34-31 overtime loss that still left them with a winner-take-all matchup against the Washington Redskins in Week 17.
