Hey Ahmad Bradshaw!! Screw You Buddy!!
So Mr. Bradshaw says the Cowboys can't win a Super Bowl with Tony Romo because the team and the fans don't believe in him. Listen, I get it, he's a Giant, he just won the Super Bowl. But you dont know jack sh*t about the Cowboys.

He is a nobody.
Their running game is a joke and so are their running backs. Next year Murray Shady Helu and then people will be like who for the giants.
The giants won’t make the playoffs next year and will finish 3rd or 4th in the division. Best way to slow down the pass rush is to have a great run game and all the other division foes are going to have it next year.

funny how
the Giants just won it all and Bradshaw and one of the owners have to take shots at the Cowboys … why?
Cause beating the Cowboys is better than winning the super bowl
How’s that for america’s team baby
with all due respect, mr. specific
i lose patience, so to speak, with that line of reasoning. he said it because some reporter was trying to make a story and asked him about it. i think he’s wrong, too, but the whole “beating dallas is ________’s super bowl” spiel has been tired for years now.

Really? Then why the jabbering about the Cowboys after a Super Bowl
win? It’s not just Bradshaw. That Tisch dude couldn’t resist it either.
Know what's even more striking? On the various media websites that think
this is a story, watching Giants fans do back flips to defend Bradshaw (not to mention Tisch, Brandon Jacobs, Justin Tuck every time one of them can’t keep their mouths from running on the subject of the Cowboys). Seems to me the players AND the fans can’t stop worrying about the Cowboys.
Here’s something even funnier; those media outlets ask those questions because they suspect one of the dumbass Giants players will take the bait and create a stir. And they pretty much always do. Here’s a novel idea for Bradshaw and Company; when someone asks them to trash a fellow player, use the words “no comment.” Works every time.

Indecision, may or may not be my problem
*sigh*
they say it because they don’t respect us, because they were directly asked about it, and because they are the champions. not because beating us is more important than winning the super bowl to them. that’s absurd.
and are we seriously going to expect mercy from the likes of jacobs? you call them dumbasses, and then proceed to expect them to exhibit class toward us?
i’ll say this. i could care less about this story. could care less about what any giants player thinks of tony romo. i’m not going to whine about it. i don’t expect anything less from them, and the only way they’ll start saying “no comment” is perhaps when our team forces them to.
by johnnypocket on Feb 13, 2012 2:38 PM CST up reply actions
Sigh. Neither of us really know their motivations, but it continues to
beg the question, why are they jabbering about the Cowboys? THE COWBOYS. They go out of their way to disrespect one team when there are two others in the division, right? You’re taking the part about it being bigger than winning the SB a bit literally, but I would think they’d have better things to talk about than a rival, any rival. It’s obviously terribly important to them to be more relevant than the Cowboys, which is interesting when the Cowboys are down, and they are up.
Do I expect class? No, they’ve never shown any. Do I expect them to respect other players, yes, It’s one thing to flap their gums about a team; it’s another to single out players and disrespect them.
And quite frankly, if you’re this bored by the subject, you can back on out of here. Why bother to comment if you couldn’t care less?
there's a lot of talking that goes on between them and philly, too...
and the redskins and us, etc. why does saying what he said suggest that he doesn’t have better things to talk about? what i’d like to know is why you’re being so disrespectful to me about this. i said i could care less about the article and it’s implications, because it’s dumb journalism. you’ll have to forgive me for daring to respectfully submit my differing opinion on a blog.

I can’t wait for this season.
"This team is going to win a Super Bowl at some point. It's going to be exciting when that time comes. And when we look back, we'll know who was on what side of the fence during those tough moments." - Tony Romo
Romo is going to win one when its all said ans done
Billion dollar dream and hundred dollar nightmares
So let me get this straight...
If because Eli has more rings than Romo then he is supposedlty better…Bradshaw has more rings than Walter Payton…so he is better too? Didn’t think so.
Trent Dilfer >Dan Marino
"How 'Bout them Cowboys!"---Jimmy Johnson
"...and the Cowboys...STUN the Bills!"--ESPN MNF
And Brad Johnson, Jim McMahon > Marino too.
Only 26 QBs have super bowl rings so by that logic, those 26 guys are number 1 through 26 in the history of the NFL (post merger) and should all be in the hall of fame.
In the 17 seasons from 1966-1982, the Cowboys went at least to the conference championship game 14 times. In the 16 seasons from 1996-2011, the Cowboys have won 2 wild card games.
I don't take Ahmad Bradshaw serious because...
he was the clown cutting up and laughing during the National Anthem when the Giants played the 49ers. That was pretty disrespectful of the American Flag, and millions of viewers, not to mention the military in attendance. Its enough to tolerate when people don’t put their hand over their heart during the National Anthem, but to treat it as a laugh fest before the game just goes to show what a mental midget he is. The Giants have a lot of those.
We have the goal of winning Super Bowls. If you don't have that, find the door.

I'm still conflicted on that...
Congress says vets can salute national anthem, now, but the Commandant says no. Not sure if the Commandant only applies to active/reserve/retired, though, since I’m just discharged…

I know I'm a little over the top on this topic.
That’s not lost on me. And people can do what they want in America…as long as it doesn’t break the law. But the Giants regularly have someone out there disrespecting others. It’s getting old. Bradshaw’s Super Bowl episode was simply the most recent example of a completely classless individual insulting others on national tv. They’re still probably trying to scrub the filth off the Star where Jacobs humped it.

When I was a kid in school, we were taught to stand at attention, but not to put our hands
over our hearts. The latter was reserved for the Pledge of Allegiance.
We always do it at the HS games.
Any place the National Anthem is played, 75% of the people have their hand over their heart.

Whats the point?
I never understood that. Ill stand at parade rest.
"Obviously, I felt like if I ran into my lineman there it was going to help the play" ~Tony Romo
A couple of things.
‘Parade rest’ is not the same thing as an NFL player assclowning during the National Anthem before the Super Bowl.
To your other point, I remove my hat and place my hand over my heart. I won’t apologize for that. As much as you don’t understand why people place their hand over their heart during the National Anthem, I don’t understand what the problem with doing it is. Do you say to yourself, ‘I see most of the people doing it, but I’m not going to?’
We have the goal of winning Super Bowls. If you don't have that, find the door.

Yes, the Giants had 14 people on IR compared to Dallas' lowly 9.
And I’m sure having the WR Hixon and Clayton on IR hurt them so bad when it forced them to go with Cruz, Manningham, and Nicks. And on a d-line with DE’s like JPP, Osi, and Tuck, the loss of the critical DT play from Martin Parker and Marvin Austin to IR was huge.
This past season, I believe the Giants had the best WR core in the NFC East (Note: this is more speculation on my part. It is also meant to comment on the level of play and not the level of skill.). They had near the best d-line in the East (Eagles having 50 sacks to the Giants sad, pathetic 48 sacks). Even with the amazing play of Ware, Dallas had fewer sacks than the Giants and the Eagles this season. The Giants’ o-line gave up the fewest sacks in the NFC East, and tied for 1st fewest QB hits (with the Eagles). The Giants gave up 11 fewer sacks and 9 fewer QB hits than Dallas. The Eagles gave up 9 fewer sacks and 9 fewer QB hits than Dallas.
Eli threw fewer TD’s than Romo, through more Int’s than Romo, and had more games with at least 1 int than Romo. In fact, in the 20 games the Giants played this year, Eli had 8 games with no int’s. In the 16 games Dallas played, Romo had 9 games with no int’s.
In conclusion, the Giants had arguably better play from their o-line, better play from their WR, and better play from their d-line than Dallas. Furthermore, Eli threw fewer TD’s than Romo, thre more Int’s than Romo, had more games with multiple int’s than Romo, and fewer games with no int’s than Romo. So, the obvious conclusion is that, even though the Giants’ had arguably better play from their WR, o-line, and d-line than Dallas had, and even though Eli threw more ints, had more games with multiple int’s, had fewer games with no int’s and fewer TD than Romo, because the Giants had 5 more players of IR than the Cowboys, the Cowboys are a better team than the Giants, the Giants’ QB is just that good? How does that make any sense?

Yeah, that made no sense. If he got up and said the moon is made of cheese,
would the fact that he has two rings make it true? He’s still an asshat who should spend more time being glad Brady’s receivers developed a case of the dropsies after he screwed up and backed into the end zone and less time worrying about Romo and the Cowboys.
But it is
relevant to whether or not he knows anything about winning a championship.
JPP + Cruz + Nicks + Eli
Yea, I'm excited about the next 10 years.
I disagree with your point here on two levels.
First, I disagree that being on a team that has won championships makes you an expert on winning championships. It is one thing to know your part in a team but something completely different to know how to put said team together and how to run a team. Not every soldier know what it takes to run an army or lead troops into battle, regardless of how good that soldier is at their position. The same would hold true in team sports. Bradshaw knows what it takes to play running back (expect when he needs to fall down) but he probably isn’t the most familiar with playign QB, WR, o-line, d-line DB, LB, etc. To win games, you need those various components working together, and if one area isn’t doing what it needs to, you need other areas to compensate. I doubt Bradshaw knows all of that.
Second, even if Bradshaw knows how to build a championship team, that’s not what he is commenting on that. He is stating the Cowboys, as a team, don’t have faith in Romo. How does he know this? Has he interviewed the team or has some sources on the inside? Or is he purely speculating? I tend to think he is speculating that the team has faith in Romo. If he is wrong there, the whole basis of his argument falls apart and he looks like a moron. As the team has shown great support for Romo, the basis for his argument looks shaky.
"I know we put a lot of weight on championships, and rightfully so. But championships are won as a team, and I'm fully convinced of that. You never see one guy — a great player, great quarterback — carry a team through the playoffs and into a Super Bowl and win a Super Bowl that way. I've never seen it." - Kurt warner
Addressing your points in order:
1) As you note in your second point, Bradshaw’s entire basis for his belief that the Cowboys wouldn’t win with Romo was the fact that he believed that the team did not believe in him. Regardless of what he might know about playing quarterback, wide receiver, or any other position – he knows about the necessary intangibles like belief in your leader – the other talking points are really non-sequiturs for the purposes of his argument.
2) You’re right, Bradshaw can’t know what the cowboys think or don’t think about Romo – however he does have a belief, which was what he was stating, based on his personal knowledge. Nobody can “know” whether or not the cowboys will win a superbowl with Romo, but they can make educated guesses based on their beliefs. That’s the whole point of the question.
JPP + Cruz + Nicks + Eli
Yea, I'm excited about the next 10 years.
Ultimately, Bradshaw said that since the team does not believe in Romo, they won’t win a super bowl. Since his argument is based on whether or not the team believes in Romo, his two super bowl rings don’t matter. His two rings do not give him insight into the workings of the Dallas Cowboys. While I think the term ‘moron’ may have been unduly harsh, the fact is, Bradshaw is commenting on something he knows absolutely nothing on.
Further, you claim that people can make educated guesses base on their beliefs. Educated guess are guesses that have some basis in facts. Since Bradshaw has no evidence to back his claim that the Cowboys have no faith in Romo, or at least did not provide any evidence, his comment more speculation and is a stretch to call it an educated guess.
"I know we put a lot of weight on championships, and rightfully so. But championships are won as a team, and I'm fully convinced of that. You never see one guy — a great player, great quarterback — carry a team through the playoffs and into a Super Bowl and win a Super Bowl that way. I've never seen it." - Kurt warner
lol. I'm trying to be diplomatic and have a civilized discussion.
I know my part in this team: to try and bring rational arguments to the table. But that alone is not enough to win. We also need people to do some smashing, and I’ll gladly give credit to those doing their part. So, thanks for for doing your part and calling him a moron.
I'm always happy to hurl epithets at the Cowboys' esteemed
opponents in the NFC East. It’s like breathing. :)
But see here's the rub:
His two rings do give him insight into what he thinks is necessary for a team to win a superbowl, namely, that a team believes in its quarterback.
Now the crux of your argument is that Bradshaw has no personal knowledge of whether or not the team believes in Tony Romo. You argue that he has no personal basis for the facts, despite the fact that he plays against them at least twice per year and could very well be in contact with a number of the players on a personal level, as we know many of the players in the league are.
In highly unlikely event that he doesn’t know anything about the inner workings of the cowboys, there are numerous other factors that he can pick up on like the team’s body language, reading articles about the cowboys, things Jerry Jones says or implies about Tony Romo. From those factors he can make an inference (or what some might call an educated guess) about how the Cowboys feel about Tony Romo.
Not to say his opinion is right or even on point, but it is worth noting because of his two rings.
For the record, I think the difficulty of mowing down the saints/packers/eagles/giants/niners in the playoffs will have much more to do with the boys likely not winning a ring under Romo than the team’s belief in Romo – but that’s neither here nor there.
JPP + Cruz + Nicks + Eli
Yea, I'm excited about the next 10 years.
I’ll give you
His two rings do give him insight into what he thinks is necessary for a team to win a superbowl, namely, that a team believes in its quarterback. That being said, since his Super Bowl rings don’t give him the power to read minds, they do not help him to understand the level of trust the team has in Romo. Since they don’t help him understand the level of trust he has in Romo, they are a mute point in this discussion.
Maybe I should clarify myself, he has not given any sources. I find it highly doubtful that Dallas Cowboys have gone to Bradshaw and confided in him given that he is a divisional rival, especially considering no one is claiming that they have. I would imagine, and fully admit my assumption could be wrong, that if players were willing to discuss this with a divisional rival, they would also be willing to go to other sources. If they were going to other sources, I would imagine that you would hear more people talking about it. Do date, I have seen no strong evidence that the Cowboys have a lack of trust in their QB. No one on the team has said that, and no one has claimed to have insight.

How do you know
he doesn’t talk with players from the Cowboys? The league is a big fraternity, players from different teams are friends all over the league. How do YOU know that he hasn’t heard talk from Cowboys’ players about their confidence level in Romo?

Your right, I don't know this.
For this reason I tried to steer clear of absolutes. Though, I feel it highly unlikely that many Cowboys are going to talk to a divisional rival about their lack of trust in their QB. Furthermore, if they were going to talk to a divisional rival, there would more than likely be other sources. Also, Bradshaw never claims sources. So, there is just as much, if not more, speculation in believing that he has some source.

Let me clarify this for you. Rings don't make you an expert on the workings
of another team. That moron spoke out of turn, and in the process, dissed another player. He apparently wasn’t smart enough just to say “no comment” or he doesn’t know or whatever else he could have done to avoid nasty headlines. Maybe he’s mimicking his distinguished colleague Brandon Jacobs, who could use a huge dose of STFU. Maybe he just needs a tiny bit of extra attention because winning the SB didn’t provide enough. Maybe he’s trying to deflect attention from the fact that he nearly gave Brady and Co. the chance to win the game. I. Don’t. Care. Or, he could have tried "no comment." Or "I just want to be happy
