AARON HERNANDEZ
so its the off season and we're all looking ahead to next year,i get bored and start thinkin about any move that might make sense for the cowboys, and that got me thinkin about the patriots OTHER TE ..ARRON HERNANDEZ..the pats are gonna have to give that man child GRONKOWSKI big time money, which leaves HERNANDEZ out in the cold, cuz there's no way any nfl team is gonna pay superstar money for two te's..just wont happen.we all love jason witten, but we have to admit he's on the back half of his great career, adding hernandez would make us even more dangerous this year ..AND ..set us up nicely for the future!!...so my question is....what is ARRON HERNANDEZ worth in a trade...for me..i would give up our second rounder in a heartbeat..this kid on almost any other team would be a star TE...i know this is a deal that will probably never happen ..but like i said it's the offseason and i'm bored..so i thought i'd start a discussion :)....replies welcome!!

Not trying to be mean...
But this should be a fanshot, and they are only in their second year, so they have at least another 2 years to go on their rookie contracts.
and a 2nd roundr on a TE?
been done before and it hasn’t worked out….

Hernandez is the receiver Marty B wishes he was
Have you even seen Hernandez play?
"The tone is business," Garrett said. "Let's get to work. The Giants are going to be at the Meadowlands on Sunday at 4:15. They're an awfully good football team. We have to get ready for them."

TE's are more than receivers.....Witten is the best in the league and one of the last true all around talents...
If Finley wants to catch put him at WR..same with Graham…..They are explosive..they are athletic but that means they are a liability to be exploited when it comes to anything that they don’t like to do…..

There are better TE's in the league than Witten
That’t not a knock on Witten though. However, they’re are plenty of well rounded TE’s in the league, just because one is great at catching doesn’t mean they have giant blocking deficiencies. Some are used as receivers more than others…

Who
Gates? Gonzalez? Maybe on the same level but I wouldn’t call them flat out better. And if you are a tight end, then you have responsibilities both receiving and blocking. If you can catch but can’t block, then you are little more than a glorified slot receiver.
There are better athletic tight ends, but who is, hands down, better all around? You may be blinded by the athletic markers, but just because they are faster etc., doesn’t make them better. Witten is on the top tier as both a receiving and a blocking tight end.
As a Gators fan, I love Aaron Hernandez, but
I’d wait for him to hit Free Agency, but if I did make a trade for him, it’d be something a little less than a 2nd rounder. Though other than being a wr-like weapon, he makes up for the blocking that martellus bennett gave us.

Also, no…Just no.

My only issue with Hernandez is that he has a tendancy to put the ball on the ground
I’ve seen him lost more than his share of fumbles and I also have to question his blocking.
Hey Washington... D.C. stands for Dallas Cowboys
Jerry the GM…if we could only find a way to get rid of that guy…
