So he ended up cheaper than scandrick?!
I would have signed him in a heartbeat for that kind of money!
We'll have to see what happens I guess.
This makes me think they’re targeting one of the marquee CB’s like Brandon Carr.
Why didn't he have to wait until FA starts next month?
In the 17 seasons from 1966-1982, the Cowboys went at least to the conference championship game 14 times. In the 16 seasons from 1996-2011, the Cowboys have won 2 wild card games.
There's a reason that he signed for that cheap
He sucked last season, and was as much of a bust as Asomugha was… No way another team was gonna sign him to big contract..

Good
Now we can sign Carr, who is obviously not going to be retained by KC, and is the superior signing.
Not compaired to the price he'll get. People shouldnt sleep on rout, yes he was penilized; but he's still a corner who alowed a sub 60% completion rate, on an average at best squad.
We could have used that, in what would have been an extremely cap friendly contract
Coming from Mosely and NFL SCOUTS
The Cowboys will also have to address the cornerback position with Terence Newman’s time in Dallas likely coming to an end. Former Raiders cornerback Stanford Routt is on the Cowboys’ free-agency wish list, but he’s nowhere near the top.
The Cowboys see him as big, fast and undisciplined, as evidenced by his league-leading 17 penalties last season. Here’s what another scout told me about him recently:
“Outside press CB, less effective from off the WR,” said the scout. “Lot of penalties and not a nickel corner despite time there in the past. Borderline starter. More of a functional starter than a good one.”
This was before he was signed. I think your giving Routt too much credit.

Absolutely.
This guy is a nobody. Just roster filler.

Carr is younger, which is a plus
I do worry about what it’ll take to land him, though, money-wise.

Good.
Sorry Jerrah, looks like you’ll have to actually take addressing the position seriously since your cheap little patchwork scrub option has been snatched up.
