Best of the 2nd tier FA CB's
Ok gentlemen and ladies (I love it that our 'Boys are so visual and loved that BTB has some very knowledgable coed fans!), but I digress. I was wondering which of the 2nd tier CB's the best? I think Carr/Finnegan/Grimes will cost too much, I personally like Terrell Thomas, but I have also been interested in Tracy Porter since he was drafted. My question is, based upon a lower overall cap hit, which of the remaining CB's is the best of the crop? Any thoughts?
Also, can someone PLEASE educate this newb on the PROPER way to post a fanshot, because I always mess it up, when it comes to the heading, etc.

Educating the newbie
Dear 405, the thing you are struggling with is that the fanpost wasn’t designed for what you are trying to do. We generally use the fanshot to link to other articles, photos, videos or other things. We don’t usually use it as a place for posting a general comment.
This is different from many message boards out there, where many standalone threads start out with little more than a single question or a few sentences. Case in point: this fanshot. What you’ve posted is basically a comment that would have been better suited as a comment in the comment section of a front page post or fanpost.
So a good fanshot in this case would have been to find an article that discusses 2nd tier CBs, linking to it (click on the link tab once you create a new fanshot) and providing a brief comment.
Another option would have been to make this into a full fanpost, but that would have required some more work, as we would have expected you to lay out some of the options available as 2nd tier CBs, ideally with a short profile for each. You could then have added a poll at the end of the post asking fr the type of feedback you’re looking for here.

What OCC said above ^^^
to answer your question though, we have to usually look on our own. Such research often ends up on the front page or in a fan post. What is a 2nd tier CB? You may have to develop a criteria on your own, but this list of all FAs may help

Often I find Dallas digs up midlevel players I’ve never heard of. Anthony Henry and Kyle Kosier are good examples of players no one saw coming

Thank you
I appreciate it OCC and Aggie, what I surmised earlier is true: I need to do my homework a little more instead of trying to piggyback another BTB member’s research. I will start on that, and see what churns up.

I would love to get Terrell Thomas
He was playing at a very high level prior to his injury and I think he can return to that form given the state of modern medicine
Terrell Thomas
I am all for TT, getting him provides us with a quality #2, if not #1 quality CB, AND it takes away from a Division rival. Sounds like a win win IMO.

+1
I think he is the best bet for a 2nd Tier CB. Cowboys have also had a good look at him since he is a division rival. It is fairly common for players to change teams within the division just because they are the teams most familiar with them.

Singing a CB
I’m all for signing a Terrell Thomas. The only thing is, with Mike Jenkins entering a contract year, he’s probably going to perform well enough to merit a long term deal. Having just extended Scandrick last year, I doubt the Cowboys will be interested paying for a veteran. The draft is our best shot at a CB and I hope that entails trading back an still landing Janoris Jenkins.
