NFL Awards
I have to rant a little. Rodgers won MVP and deserved it. He also deserved Offensive Player of the Year but they gave it to Brees as an "atta boy" for breaking the passing record that Brady also broke. Stafford was thisclose as well. It really gets on my nerves. Brees doesn't deserve anything just because he broke a silly record. Rodgers averaged more YPA. He was better. He deserves it. AND that isn't even the worst part. Suggs gets DPOY? For his career high 14 sacks? Ware has had 19+ twice now, will be a first ballot HOF, and possibly go down as one of the top two or three pass rushers of all time. It's a shame that he's lost out on this award again. He deserves to be recognized. It's clearly because Suggs played for a team that was more successful, just like back when they handed it to Harrison. Plus, they hate our 'Boys. That is all.

I can understand questioning the justification of putting Suggs over Ware, but there’s no justification for putting Ware over Jared Allen. And really, Ware wasn’t even the best defensive player in the NFCE this year, in my opinion. That would be JPP.
Agree on Rodgers though. Back in the day, Michael Jordan should have been the unanimous MVP every year, but that got boring and somehow writers voted for guys like Charles Barkley and Karl Malone.

Well being that it is also commonly referred to as Defensive MVP
I don’t think you would dispute the fact that taking Suggs or JPP would not totally decimate their respective teams. However taking Ware off of the field for the Cowboys would have seriously hampered anything thing closely resembling a defense for Dallas. You could argue the same for Jared Allen, however, he didn’t play against as strong of defensive lines as Ware and also did have some other players make it on the Pro Bowl as did Ware.

I'd have been okay with Allen.
I’m going to be sick if Ware never wins one, though. Why JPP? Special teams?
I agree with this.
The fact that you could get 22 sacks and not get DPOY is absolutely ridiculous. Just like how D-Ware should have gotten the award over James Harrrison in 2008.
If I had a nickel for every Super Bowl the Eagles have won, I would have zero nickels.

I think Rodger's success was given new perspective in week 17
…When Matt Flynn came in and broke the franchise record for passing yards in a single game. I think people looked at it a little more of a team effort than TOTALLY on Rodgers. Not taking anything away from Rodgers, but after that I think people might have thought he wasn’t quite as phenomenal as they had previously.

Nominees
Winners of these things are always based on some sort of bias opinion of some sort. Whether that be a team, where the person grew up, the story of how they got there, struggles they may be enduring outside of their achievement (i.e. family deaths), etc. So really what counts is being nominated. Demarco Murray, Demarcus Ware and Tony Romo were each nominated for prestigious awards and that is going to be enough for me. I don’t recall a single other team with that many players nominated for different awards than we had (3).
Afterall, how many times do you see actors, directors, producers and movies themselves presented as “academy award nominee”? I rest my case.

Wow I forgot about the awards.
Was it a good show?
Its a shame Ware gets snubbed again.

Brady didn't break a passing record
Brees broke Marino’s and then it was his.
Brady passed a mark that was a record…. Doesn’t count for anything.
