Pencil him or Jared Crick as the 2nd round pick
"The tone is business," Garrett said. "Let's get to work. The Giants are going to be at the Meadowlands on Sunday at 4:15. They're an awfully good football team. We have to get ready for them."

Crick was a strong candidate in the second because of his first round talent despite his injury, now Barron makes things interesting. Hope he recovers well soon.
That Solves It
We’re going after Barron in the 2nd…we all know how Jerry loves his injured first round prospects in the 2nd round.

I know he's not a running back but,
if he has any kind of career like the bad knee out of college RB Thurman Thomas had, I’d be glad to have him on our team.
"If you are prepared, you will be confident, and will do the job." Tom Landry
"The difference between extraordinary and ordinary, is that little extra". Jimmy Johnson
This makes things interesting
Getting two guys with first round grades again possibly. This would be great if it happened and we got him in the second and added Janoris Jenkins or someone else in the first round.
"I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is that moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle, victorious." –Vince Lombardi
Wow, thats crazy.
Lee, Carter, Barron? 6 first round picks in 3 years.. thats how you build a champion!
"Obviously, I felt like if I ran into my lineman there it was going to help the play" ~Tony Romo
If we can land Barron or Crick in round 2
Wow, that’s some good fortune.

Amazing luck for us if it happens and it certainly hits our motif of drafting talented players who are hurt

Between Crick's Injury and his Inconsistent Season
A lot of people have Crick as a 3rd or 4th round prospect. He’s absolutely tumbled down the boards from last year where he was a late 1st/early 2nd rounder. Not having Suh by his side has really hurt his productivity.

In 2010, the first season without Suh
Jared Crick had 9.5 sacks.

Jared Crick's full 2010 stats (w/o Suh's help)
17 TFLs, 9.5 Sacks, 10 QBhits

Crick is a Beast
Getting either late would be outstanding imo. Dallas is….the healing place.
It is going to be interesting to see how far both Crick & Barron slide, and who steps up to grab them.
Can you imagine if we got Kirkpatrick or Jenkins in the 1st, Barron in the 2nd, and Crick in the 3rd? That would really help our D.
Would be awesome

I doubt it happens
But with injuries you just never know. Look how far Bowers fell (I know it was a more serious unjust but he was thought to be a top 3 player before that.

Wow!
this should shake up the mock drafts a bit.
yes it should

mark barron is not a first round guy, i don't like him even in the second
i’d rather have jared crick
Dez Bryant, Sean Lee, Tyron Smith, Bruce Carter, Demarco Murray
Now if we can get Janoris Jenkins or David Decastro in the first, and Mark Barron or Jared Crick in the 2nd, that’d be amazing. That’s seven 1st round worthy players in 3 years. If it turns out like that in this year’s draft, the ’Boys are going to deserve a lot of credit for turning around our drafting fortune. We are basically building our team for the next decade
Is this a sign from god ? Does he want Dallas to get this man ?
"This team is going to win a Super Bowl at some point. It's going to be exciting when that time comes. And when we look back, we'll know who was on what side of the fence during those tough moments." - Tony Romo
I think so

I just don't see Dallas taking him.
Sure, he is potentially first round talent that might drop into the second round because of an injury. But is he an ILB? No. So, I think Dallas passes on him. Now, if Kuechly hurts his knee, Dallas would be on that like a fly on …
"I know we put a lot of weight on championships, and rightfully so. But championships are won as a team, and I'm fully convinced of that. You never see one guy — a great player, great quarterback — carry a team through the playoffs and into a Super Bowl and win a Super Bowl that way. I've never seen it." - Kurt warner
... Why does he have to be an ILB?
He fits a need.

Sorry, I don't know the sarcasim font.
More commenting on the last two times it was an ILB.

I can see Jerry trading up, maybe taking him at the end of the 1st, high 2nd.

strong possibility that happens

It's confirmed
I was listening to Dan Shonka of http://www.ourlads.com on San Diego’s 1090/XX this afternoon. He mentioned Mark Barron’s doubled sports hernia and said he won’t be able to work out at the combine or his pro day.

still not hearing anything official on this, which is strange.
not getting any play anywhere else but this article too.

profootballtalk.com is running with it now
Mark Barron after having double hernia surgery is expected to miss 8 weeks. That means the earliest he can work out for teams prior to the draft, is April 10th.
