Interactive Mock Draft

I recently participated in an Interactive Mock Draft on a Falcons Draft Blog. One of my friends is a Falcons fan and told me that no one was running the Cowboys so I participated. The IMD started with Free Agency and also included the Draft.

In order to give everyone money to spend, teams were tiered and given salary caps. I had $25 million to spend for the Cowboys.

Any players that were not signed by other teams were given back to the team that the previously played for

EDIT: This started in the beginning of March before Newman and Kosier were released so all players that were released were still on the teams that they were on last year

My first 3 draft picks have been talked about a lot on BTB so I wanted to talk about my other 3 picks a little bit.

Janzen Jackson, FS, McNeese State

Extremely talented player who left the Tennessee program due to personal reasons. He is 5'11, 190 pounds. He has a nose for the ball and also is know to have big hits. He is considered a fluid runner. He will fall in the draft due to character issues; however, he was once considered a borderline 1st-2nd round prospect before leaving Tennessee.

Josh Chichester, TE, Louisville

This pick may have been a reach on my part; however, after losing Martellus I wanted to get a 3rd TE in the mix. Chichester is more of a project at this point but can develop into a big receiving target like Jimmy Graham. He is slightly slower and needs to bulk up a little more but I think with the S&C program under Woicik and the tutelage of Jason Witten, Chichester could be our TE of the Future.

Akiem Hicks, DT/DE, Regina

Hicks is 6'5 320 pounds. Extremely athletic for his size and played great at the East-West Shrine Game. He is an extremely raw prospect who can develop into a solid DL. Was a highly recruited JUCO prospect initially signing with LSU but was dismissed from the program for an alleged housing issue. Slight red flag but nothing serious.
