#14. - CB Dre Kirkpatrick, Alabama:
The Cowboys landed Brandon Carr, but that doesn't mean their cornerback woes are completely fixed. Kirkpatrick has some off the field red flags, but on the field he definitely warrants this selection. Adding him here is a good value and turns a major weakness for Dallas, into one of their top strengths.
#45. - SS Harrison Smith, Notre Dame
-The Cowboys need some further help in the secondary, and Smith would be an excellent pick-up for them in the 2nd round.
#81. - RB Isaiah Pead, Cincinnati
-Felix Jones may be done in Dallas after this year, which would leave a pretty big void behind DeMarco Murray. Also both Jones and Murray dealt with injury issues last season, so quality depth is key.
#113. - C Michael Brewster, Ohio State
-The Cowboys are set at tackle but could use some additional interior help. This is a nice value pick for Dallas.
#135. (comp)- WR Ty Hilton, Florida International
-Hilton could develop into a nice slot receiver, who can also help in the return game.
#152. - DT DaJohn Harris, USC
-Solid late round pick, who can be a decent back-up DE
#186. - G/T Ryan Miller, Colorado
-a nice versatile depth lineman here.
#222.- QB Austin Davis, Southern Miss
-This is more of a developmental prospect, but would be a great guy to stash on their practice squad.
