Cowboys "Dream Team"

I'm not much of a Blogger, or good at writing. I do however love the site, and I have recently signed up. With that being said, say whatever you would like I like all types of criticism, especially the honest kind. I was recently looking at recent drafts from the past 11 years just curious as to who we might have passed up. Well, I found that we missed out on some pretty good talent. I made up a list of the past 11 drafts along with who we drafted and who we missed out on. Find out what our team might look like today after the jump.

This is basically just something to keep your mind off of the offseason, and I also had fun so I hope it catches your eyes and stirs up some conversation. Here are our 1st picks in the recent drafts starting with 2001.

*2001 Actually Drafted-Quincy Carter(2nd round via trade) Missed out on-Drew Brees

*2002 Actually Drafted-Roy Williams(1st round) Missed out on-Ed Reed

*2003 Actually Drafted-Terance Newman(1st round) Missed out on-Nnamdi Asomogha

*2004 Julius Jones(2nd round via trade) Steven Jackson

*2005 Ware (got this one right)/Spears Justin Tuck- It's fair to say Tuck's career has surpassed that of Spears

*2006 Bobby Carpenter DeMeco Ryans-May not be a 3-4 guy, but still would have had better numbers than Carpenter

*2007 Anthony Spencer Lamar Woodley-Was actually drafted as a DE, but things have worked out nicely for him at OLB

*2008 Felix Jones/Michael Jenkins Mendenhall/C. Johnson/Forte/J. Charles/R. Rice(kinda makes you sick huh?) Brandon Flowers

*2009 Kind of a wash, don't you think?

*2010 Dez Bryant (not gonna argue with this pick)

*2011 Morris Claiborne (this one either)

Now just imagine what our roster would look like today. I mean yeah, we likely would have traded or lost 1 or 2 players to trade or free agency. But likely would have been Brees, which we would still have Romo. Also, Asomogha due to drafting Flowers. But had this happened, imagine what our roster would look like after this year's offseason. Re-mock the draft and see what you come with. Kill some time while you are at the office.
